Sorry, not my type of place. It's always expensive and the ales doesn't taste very good.

Went out for a midweek session, started off in the Shepherds, been a few months since we were last in. Good selection of ales, my friend and I stuck with the "Black Angus Porter" by Craven Brew Co. Good pint if you like porters.. Favourite bar snacks on (Lancashire Crisps). A good atmosphere and a good start had by all.

Great place to drink! Decent selection of beers aswell.

Recently within last 12 months or so extended and renovated very well great character and real ales on tap. However if you like lager you may struggle the only one on tap is Budvar and in my opinion it's not the best at all, apologies but mentioned to the staff on several occasions but they don't seem to be getting the message. Ie a decrnt birra morretti or something would be much better.

Great beer selection and cozy space. Maturer crowd than other places nearby, but that's not to say boring!

Early door between Christmas and New Year. Couldn't fault it. Beer was good and business picked up so there was a decent atmosphere.

Have visited this pub a few times over the past few months and it's always a pleasure to stop and enjoy a great pint in a nice cosy atmosphere like here. Good choice of beer too.

Jorvic was surprised to find out we came here in 2019. Seems like a lifetime ago. Bigger than I remember..or have they expanded? Has two bars now. Large corner room, room off to back and another room with the better real ale selection. Jorvic had an all time favourite; Loweswater Gold from Cumbria brewery. Yummy. Friday afternoon seems to be turn up and play music session. ( first and third Friday of the month.) Something like 24 - 30 musicians joining in. Accordians, fiddles, woidwind etc..even a harp turned up. They all seem to know the traditional tunes in a mega jamming session. Madge wanted to add percussion.
