Nice local traditional pub, great open fire, staff who served us should be told not to hold glasses at top? Some of the locals dont seem to be too friendly to strangers getting served at the bar obstructing their seats, no vaping signs up but idiot sat near us got away with it openly.

A wonderful afternoon spent by the fire. Amazing liquor coffee and good real ale. Food was delicious, hot beef sandwiches. The service is always excellent. A great no frills local.

Excellent food and service. There isn't a huge amount of choice but enough for us and it was freshly prepared and really lovely. They took good care of us and ensured that we had everything we wanted. The beer was excellent too and very well kept.

There was a charity pub crawl on the day we visited. Lots of the people were leaving when we arrived. The lady who served me was using plastic instead of glasses, I asked her for glasses as we were sitting inside.she refused, despite locals sat at the end of the bar had been served their drinks in glasses. Completely Out of order. We did stay for another drink but my son went to the bar this time, and again she wasn't going to serve our drinks in glasses but my son insisted. We got our glasses. Not the way to treat your customers ?
