Delicious food!!! Lovely and warm on entering, staff friendly and welcoming. Great menu choice of drinks and food. As you enter there’s a lounge to the left where we were seated first for drinks and our order taken; the restaurant is to the right. All our food was cooked and seasoned perfectly! One excellent point to note was that the plates were all very hot which was lovely and deserves an extra star. Will definitely be visiting again and I fully recommend trying!

What a hidden gem. Small, cosy, well run professional business. The food was delicious and HOT! Traditional service standards by the waiting staff. Very attentive and helpful. This is a firm local favourite now.

Very good food & service . Hadn’t been before . Don’t be fooled by the exterior. There is a lovely seating area to have a drink while looking at the menu then through to the dining room. I had the 3 course for £25.95 which was excellent, presentation, taste, size of portion all very good. My partner had 3 courses from the a la carte menu. Excellent food for him too. We will return

Lovely food . Extra little touches like the olives and cafetiere. Had the salmon. Lovely sticky toffee pudding for sweet. First time at the restaurant.

Thyme and Plaice is a hidden gem in the area. A small and secluded restaurant with a limited number of tables. This has been my go-to restaurant for my birthday for the last 8 years, as I really view it as a treat. The food is beautifully cooked and presented, the staff are all lovely, and the prices are reasonable. The menu doesn’t change often, but there are specials offered that do change, giving variety to each visit. Awesome place.

Outstanding food, amazing staff and absolute hidden gem. Having driven past this many times I’d often wondered what it was like and gotten on with my day to day life. Last night we had a lovely evening with friends and what a treat it was! Great set up, come in - the very attentive staff led us to a relaxing area and offered us menus and a choice of drinks and savoury nibbles. We opted for the excellent value 3 courses - absolutely the best meal I’ve had out in a long time, I opted for the ever classic Chicken Liver Parfait and Slow cooked feather Blade of beef…..I’d go back there every day and eat the same meal for the rest of my days. Thank you to the staff and chef for knowing how to do it right.

The food was absolutely delicious this evening. Service is lovely but a little a over with drink offers. Overall go for a lovely meal with plenty of time and a taxi home.

Wonderful service, food was amazing! Seabass was perfectly cooked. Pork belly was soft and crackling crispy, altogether fine dining at it's best. Small select venue with a lovely atmosphere.
