Stayed here for my Brother in Law's 50th birthday bash, room was small but comfortable, bar was very busy early on but settled down as the evening went on, food was straightforward and well priced and delivered quickly seeing it was a Saturday night. All in all great one stop shop for food drinks and a place to stay.

Visited at lunchtime and was greeted by very friendly staff. The building and bar itself is fascinating along with the Bowland Brewery equipment at the back and original mill wheels and cabling in the room to the left of the main bar area. Prices are very fair with an extensive menu and vast range of drinks.

We found a table with NO reservation! Sat down a person on our partners in a wheelchair. A member of staff advised the table was reserved. We were told they would re arrange as no reservation on table. The embarrassment for our party of then being approached by a member of staff then management & told to move!

We were looking at an impromptu get together for 17 family members and Holmes Mill were able to accommodate us with no problem. Food and service was great, headed up by the unflappable Tracy, and we all thought the place packed with atmosphere and great value for money. Well worth a visit.

The worst customer experience I've ever experienced. I tried to use a gift voucher that somebody kindly bought me for my birthday to pay for some drinks in the beer hall. The voucher wouldn't redeem at the till so I offered to pay in cash and asked who to speak to about the voucher, then the person serving me laughed in my face and said words to the effect of "that amount of money means nothing to me, but you can follow it up if you're that bothered about it". I raised a complaint about him to James' Places and they didn't bother to get back to me. I won't be giving them by custom again!

Lovely tasty lunch in the food hall with my mum & a friend from out of town. No amount of gratitude raised a smile with the member of staff who served us. Kind of took the edge off the great location.

Really beautiful building. Very dog friendly. The food was lovely with great vegan options. Knocking off one star for the 2 young waitresses who clearly didn't want to be there.

As a wedding band, we see a LOT of venues up and down the country. It was such a delight to perform here and we look forward to returning every time. The room is set up perfectly for a great party atmosphere. It honestly looks incredible and the staff are so helpful. Nice work guys!
