What a delight this place was. We’d being walking around Chatburn and came across this little place. We stopped for tea and rolls, with an ice cream to follow. Food was excellent, service was very friendly and efficient, and the prices were surprisingly cheaper than we were expecting. A great little stop, and they do outstanding homemade ice creams too. Highly recommended.

No way is this ice cream as good as it used to be! I am sure that the owners will say that it is exactly the same recipe but it just doesn’t taste as good. It used to have an original flavour to it and they only used to do vanilla but they now do different flavours. I had the vanilla and white chocolate and it was average at best. The ice cream seemed to have ice crystals in it and just wasn’t smooth or creamy. Is just buy a magnum from the village shop as it’s tastier and cheaper.

Excellent as always. Their Blackcurrant ice-cream could easily put Ribena out of business! The range of choice is a feast for the eyes.

Just came to hudsons after a lovely walk in chatburn and I was absolutely delighted with the service and the mood of the shop, the food was also delicious as the ice cream was so flavoursome and sweet and the buttys were on point would recommend to anybody in chatburn or the uk.

A little on the pricey side for 4 ice creams but as a treat for the kids it’s all worth it. Recommend the blueberry iced cream very tasty ?

Must of been coming here nearly 30years when passing by. Everything homemade and can't fault anything I've ever had. Fair prices, ice cream abit pricey though but I suppose it is the star of the show. Lady owner when I was a child use to be so happy but now just looks abit fed up. Still visit even if there is no service with a smile because the food is still as amazing as it was all that time ago and that's what mainly counts. I do appreciate that alot of effort goes in to homemaking everything and keeping old traditions alive

I thought the ice cream was, in all fairness very tasty. And was told these are on justeat and can deliver sandwiches and breakfasts too however for one scoop (small ball) of ice cream on a cone with a flake on it for £2.90 was too much.. but even on a Wednesday afternoon it had a small queue so maybe it’s worthy of a 4-star. It’s been around for a long time also apparently so it’s famous for its ice cream here

This place is simply fantastic! We usually pop in after the Pendle walk and have never been disappointed. The sausage and eggs butties are cooked to perfection and full of flavour. But my favourite are the Raspberry Buns! I am quite fussy when it comes to cakes because I bake a lot myself. But these are awesome. The buns themselves are soft and sweet and the jam is fresh!

Great shop, stopped off on a bike ride. Lovely woman served me who was telling me all about the history of the shop, and I had some great chocolate ice cream. Will be visiting again to try out the baking!

Terrible service as sat outside for 25 minutes and they'd forgot our order. Two tuna sandwiches and two coffees to take away nearly 15 quid ! Charge a extra £1.50 for salad on each sandwich. Sadly won't be visiting again, shame as lovely setting.
