Hidden gem. Lovely staff make you feel right at home, and the food is well priced and delicious. Looking forward to visiting in the summer, sitting in Swan Courtyard.Vegetarian options: Staff were attentive to dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and dairy free options available.Kid-friendliness: High chair and the staff were great with our baby, even with all the dropped food.

A group of friends and I visiting the area just by chance walked down the Main Street and noticed a little courtyard advertising shops and this cafe was tucked away in the corner. We wasn’t sure if it was open at first & that should be rectified as you really would miss out on the fabulous food. There were young waiting staff who looked after us & were very polite & attentive & the menu covered it all if we wanted a light bite or something more. Everyone of our party of 8 people really enjoyed our food it was well presented and very tasty & ample portions. We thought it was great value & am happy to write this review and recommend to people.

Cosy tea room with delicious looking cakes. So much choice and a good coffee.

Sometimes you stumble across a place where the outward appearance (which is still charming in the case of Mansell's) belies the obvious skill and care taken in the cooking and presentation. Clitheroe isn't short of good cafes but this is worth seeking out. Thank you.

Having been put off a couple of eateries in Clitheroe and frustrated that you can't seem to get an early lunch in the pubs we looked around for alternatives and hidden down an alley we found Mansells. It didn't look anything special but we were given a warm welcome which is always a good sign. There were plenty of things to choose from and we had the steak and ale pie. It was a decent plateful, with a side plate of carrots and red cabbage beautifully cooked and well presented. Reasonably priced it was a perfect lunch We will add this excellent cafe to our go to list

A hidden away cafe on the way to Clitheroe castle. A great choice of food. I would highly recommend the quiche which comes with a wonderful mix salad. Good friendly service. All at a reasonable price 5 stars

We can across this little cafe whilst walking down the Main Street and saw a sign on a board pointing to a little courtyard just off the road Lovely little area with a couple of shops and steps down to the lower car parks which we didn’t know was there. Very polite friendly staff, nice surroundings and plenty of tables and chairs The hot chocolate with cream was lovely and the toasted tea cakes were very nice Would recommend this place

Found this place by chance in a cosy courtyard just off the main drag on the way to the castle. Really pleasant, clean place with friendly service. The food itself (we had the house platter and quiche) was brought out by the chef himself, who obviously takes pride in his work, really tasty and well presented. Reasonably priced, would def recommend.
