I didn't stay but it was a nice place for a small wedding reception. I don't know if a Big wedding reception would fit but yeah like I said nice little

Beautiful hotel we enjoyed our stay felt warm and safe we only had one issue as I couldn’t get through to reception from the phone in our room trying twice 1st time no answer 2nd time was engaged needed some toilet roll as we only had one and a half rollsRooms: Nice and clean also we had Netflix on our tv so that was a bonus also lovely soft towels

The rooms were ok, good that it had a bath however plug was grubby.Staff when we were greeted couldn’t be bothered to smile, or have any warmth. It wasn’t very welcoming.Staff at breakfast were lovely and the only reason it went to 3 stars, suggest she train the rest of your front of house staff. My stay was Wednesday -Thursday. I also couldn’t order any food til 6pm, I’m sure not a problem for most but inconvenient for me.The key entry was frustrating because the plastic keyring was huge, made it difficult to unlock the door, I appreciate very nit picky.

We had a family xmas dinner which was very good and value for money, the service was excellent and the waiting staff were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend anyone who is visiting the area to visit this hotel and enjoy a meal in the restaurant.

On this occasion I was only enquiring re new year's day opening as Google was useless. I would suggest that the hotel owners would bring it up to date or advertise in a different way.

Nice hotel, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Good car park, great grounds. The restaurant was just OK but I would recommend the hotel.

Upon arrival there were several people gathered around the entrance, all happily intoxicated, All clearly dressed for a wedding. The loud music added to the party atmosphere, however, it made checking in difficult due to the volume. Luckily for us, we were there to meet friends in the town and would arrive back soon after midnight, so the noise and the party could continue without us having to endure it all evening. However, please ask if there is a party if you want a quiet and peaceful stay here. I absolutely do not mind others having fun, it's great to see, but some people are less tolerant. In the morning we decided not to go down for breakfast as it would most likely be full of the wedding party, so I rang down to reception for extra tea, milk and sugar. The foreign lady was very nice but had great difficulty in understanding what I was asking for and eventually someone else brought up tea bags and sugar but no milk. It wasn't worth the embarrassment of having to call again, so we checked out and had breakfast elsewhere.Rooms: Quite old and tired looking, but probably in keeping with the age of the property.Nearby activities: Ideal for Darwen town centre.Noteworthy details: This is primarily a wedding venue and as such will have loud music, many intoxicated people making noise till the early hours of the morning. Therefore, it is not ideal for a quiet or romantic evening in.

We stayed here for a wedding it's a lovely place to stay, but not very big. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, the breakfast was ok but not very hot. All in all not a bad experience.

We went for a baby shower and a 3 course lunch. It was absolutely glorious. Food was excellent as we had the vegetarian option, which was superb. The room was light and airey. The staff were all friendly and helpful.Nothing was too much trouble for them.Just loved it.Thank you.Food & drinks: No one left anything, so that can only be good. The vegitarian food was superb, not boring like so many other restaurants.

The building was a bit dated in places but overall quite nice. The dining room itself was a pleasant place but the seats themselves were quite uncomfortable after a while. The four of us enjoyed our meals without it being outstanding. The overall experience, like the premises itself, was nice and the staff were A1. Would re-visit. Thanks to all.
