“I can never understand why this pub is never full when we book a table. It has a great daily menu and offers a specials board too. The food is mostly home made and freshly cooked. We have never had a bad dish yet. The staff are great. The pub is clean. And to top it off, the bill is always at least £20 cheaper than other places, and that’s with drinks. Treat yourself and book a table, and make it a regular eatery as have we!”

“A great little pub, we travelled down from Scotland for a few days and found this pub just round the corner from our Airbnb. A friendly atmosphere, the owners made us welcome, they have a good selection of drinks, and the juke box was always on, pool table and darts.
We had a great time and will be back on our next visit.”

“We have stayed at the hotel a few times and also go for food as non guests! This hotel is always clean the rooms are cosy it is steeped in history and full of character ! The reception staff go all out to accommodate guests the bar staff always polite and food is good value for money I like how the hotel try’s to keep updating its areas! They really do try to keep it up together which as a big hotel must be costly so well done to the owners/ management We have seen some of the areas that are dressed for weddings which always look lovely and romantic plus the best Vues across to Lancaster / morecambe and lakes Can’t say enough how much we love staying with you all thank you”
