“Lovely lunch experience. Friendly staff, good menu selection and generous portion sizes. Vegan salt and pepper chicken wrap with side salad was tasty. Added homemade chips on the side which were really nice and again a generous portion size, although not a necessary addition as wrap & salad were a healthy enough size for a filling lunch. Would definitely revisit.”

“Called in this unassuming cafe with my wife & dog for a late lunch after a walk & ordered a warm quiche with salad & a coffee, I was expecting a slice of quiche & a few salad leaves with tomato but I had to do a double take at what turned up, I thought the plate must have been for us both to share as it completely filled a large dinner plate, packed with a huge quiche portion, pasta shells in pesto sauce, bulgar wheat, curried chickpeas, cucumber, tomato, salad leaves, beetroot, potato salad, coleslaw, red onions, it was fabulous ?.
Lovely attentive staff who even brought out some dog biscuits ?.
This place is opposite The Royal Oak pub by the Market place stone cross, don’t pass by as it’s great ??”

“We stayed in their car park for 2 nights in our motorhome. A lovely pub , dog friendly . The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. We had pate on toast, steak and ale pie , piping hot all the way through and very tasty. Likewise I had garlic mushrooms then pan seared chicken with a cream, leek and cheese sauce, again piping hot all the way through with chips and fresh veg. It was that good I still got the pleasant aftertaste of cheese 2 hrs later. Very morish.
The second day was a roast dinner with it being Sunday. Delicious even our dog (Mr T) was begging me for some.
All in all an excellent experience so I thought it only right to put £20 behind the bar for the staff. Will definately be back.”

“We stayed here one night in our motorhome which costs £15per person, this however comes off your bar tab.
Car park has a nice grassy area with tables at the back ( great for our ?, Mr T).
The food was excellent and reasonable priced, the staff, Landlord and Landlady were very friendly and helpful.
Front and back beer garden gave us a choice between sun and shade as it was very hot.
Will definately return.”
