Haven't been here in years so decided to have lunch there. I didn't book. Disabled parking was great, just at the side of the restaurant about 25ft to the back entrance. Staff really friendly and exceptionally quick. Ordered pork and stuffing in gravy with apple sauce on chiabata. Came after 19 mins. Tasted amazing. Thick cuts of pork and the gravy was tasty. Salad had nice dressing on and chips were good to. It filled me up.Ordered half a lager and the bill came to £14.00. definitely recommend here

Wouldn’t recommend mass produced food with frozen chips and very small portions.The floor area was dirty and need some cleaning.Staff attentive though.

90th Birthday Sunday lunch for 13 of us.Pre ordered our meals which was fine..All starters/meals came out together roasts were lovely aswell as fish and chips , burgers and vegetarian burgers. Staff brilliant so attentive nothing too much trouble had a lovely table in Canalside room .Thank you to Manageress and staff for making it a lovely afternoon .

Called in today for lunch. Staff were extremely pleasant and attentive, service was great and food excellent. Not many more superlatives I can add really. Looking forward to returning.

Havent been here for years. Great food First Class service from young but clearly highly trained staff. Every member of the very young team knew exactly what was needed to provide all customers with great, speedy service. Management should offer training to other 'restaurants' as this could not have been bettered.

Visited after a long time for a Sunday Roast and it was ok but nothing great. I beleive new management so we thought to give it a try. Nice warm welcome and very efficient staff. The service was 10 out of 10 with drinks and food orders taken quickly and served fast. Very limited menu on a Sunday so we both went for roasts which were ok but a bit tasteless. The gravy was very poor and weak. We will try again in the week as the fish & chips looked great and the burgers. Wonderful location, this should be a top bar/restaurant.

Had Christmas Day Dinner 2023 here and it was superb. Staff v friendly and the food was spot on and plentiful. Would definitely recommend eating here as new owners trying to make a go of a pub in a great location and need support to be successful.
