My favourite chippy. Can't recommend it enough. Very friendly staff and always Busy. That's what makes it great as the fish and chips are always made to order. Love their curry sauce. This was close I nearly gave 4 stars, as I slightly prefer Haddock from another chippy not too far from Hodgson's. However my wife prefers Hodgson's, and the shop appears extremely clean and well presented.

Superb batter. Lightly battered haddock/cod is our favourite. Make sure you asked for it as you go in and don’t until you actually order.The girls behind the till are efficient and accurate. We’ve been going there for tens years and have never had missing or wrong items. Who can say that about Just Eat or Deliveroo?

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hodgson's, and I must say it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish! If you're a fan of fish and chips or simply crave a satisfying meal, this is the place to be. The staff members were incredibly courteous and attentive. The food was cooked to order which was really nice to see. I only had to wait 5 minuites for fresh and perfect fish and chips. I ate every last bit. The tartar sauce was on another level!
