Mrs G raves about this place, so when it was time for a meal with the in-laws she chose here. My first visit, and it's a beautiful old building and positive first impressions. Good choice of menu. So why four stars you ask? For me, just a couple of points: The gravy - with the mushroom and ale pie - was far too rich for my liking, so I'm glad I tried it before pouring (it tasted too meaty for a vegetarian dish, if you know what I mean). Pleasant and Friendly staff, particularly helpful regarding dietary requirements. I highly recommend dining here. Child friendly. And the children's park in the grounds is great too!Dietary restrictions: I was very impressed in this area.
