Went for a smoke and they took my pint. Said I'd left the building so it wasn't mine any more. Greedy manager, wouldn't own up to his mistake, made the bartender have the argument on his behalf. He should join a union. We were only outside for the time it takes to cook a beyond burger patty.

Manager cleared away our pints when we popped outside for fresh air... greedy boy. Don't trust him.

It's Spoons — most drinks are cheap as chips & the food is always good. I think a lot of locals come in here for free coffee refills (currently £1.06 compared to £1.56 at every other Spoons) because they probs can't afford to heat their own homes (if they have one) and need a place to keep warm in Winter. Poor souls. I'd recommend the onion rings & small chips but all the food is good from what I've tried. Ciao baby

Very pleasant service with no problems to try an ale before I bought. I settled for an Innkeepers by Coach House. For food I had a huge portion of all day brunch. Food and drink came to an unbeatable £6.44, excellent VFM. I enjoyed a Shipyard for 2.99 afterwards.Recommend this one.

On this occasion the food was great, service was with a smile and it was a pleasant time. The 'Ale' was kept well (which is a general stone point of this particular pub) and though the toilets have seen better days (long gone it seems are the days where wetherspoon toilets win awards) one does appreciate that they are generally clean and serviceable. The Owen (as some might call it) is certainly joy the worst pub in Lancaster. , and as a first or second stop pn a night out, would defo make a cheery addition... but being your mates and keep your expectations realistic.
