Never been on here before and am glad we finally did. Really nice. Friendly staff and nice beer. The building looks really old and I betbit has some history behind it. Another good place to visit in Lancaster
Very friendly cosy pub. We nipped in for lunch and had the homemade mushroom soup which was absolutely delicious, chunky and creamy it came with a sandwich of your choice from the menu. We did wait quite a long time for it to be served but it was worth the wait. An offer of 2 meals for £12 is really good value. Will go in again.

The food here is delicious, and there is plenty to choose from. The only thing I think that would make the atmosphere a bit better would be some back ground music, but there is a duke box. We come quite often and it has become our first choice for somewhere to eat in Lancaster
