Attended the first evening of ‘obession 24’.Service was okay. It was a mix of people who were excellent and knowledgable and who were not. Couple of mistakes which I wouldn’t expect at this price point but overall okay. Also pretty appalling that they tried to charge an extortionate service charge on top of an already expensive meal.The food itself was interesting and generally tasted good, each dish had a definite theme and goal and overall I enjoyed it.The atmosphere was pretentious and self important - adverts all over the place: a magazine detailing each day of the ‘event’ filled with ‘luxury items’, a gaudy car in front of the hotel, and a projector which sometimes live streamed the kitchen and then played adverts for the sponsors of the event.Overall, I think my 3 stars are fair, as I would not return but it was fine.

Excellent as ever - a great night in Obsession24 with Adam H's cooking. The Bread & Chicken, and Scotish Waters were amazing dishes (the other 3 were great too!) Jordan, Tom & the team looked after us so well! It is such an amazing atmosphere.

We were fortunate to dine on one of the Obsession 24 evenings at Northcote and it was truly amazing and special from start to finish. Very well organised with superb service from arrival to departure resulting in a very memorable dining experience. Outstanding food each course from the guest chef paired with some great wines. Staff are very friendly and you consistently receive attentive service from the whole team. Highly recommended for a visit anytime as the food is always of a superb standard.

After trying for many years to secure a table at Lisa Goodwin Allen’s Obsession event, we were successful for Obsession 24, which on our evening was catered for by the amazing Sarah Hayward, from the Coach at Marlow. The whole experience was fantastic with the brilliant front of house team, the delicious food and wine and the wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, we absolutely loved it. Our evening was made that much more special by Lisa spending time afterwards talking with us for a while, even though she was suffering with a sore throat. She was so warm and generous with her guests. Thank you all for a truly memorable evening. We shall definitely return.

oh my gosh what can i say we were lucky enough to get a table at Obsession 24 with Sarah Hayward being the guest chef . It was a superb meal and for us was worth every penny

1st night of Obsession 24 with Lisa Goodwin-Allen and the entire experience was absolutely fantastic. From been greeted on arrival to champagne and snacks followed by 4 hours of the most exquisite food. Brilliant service and a truly memorable evening. A massive thank you to all the team at Northcote.

We came to Tom Barnes' evening at Obsession. Thoroughly enjoyable evening although there was some hanging around, and as it was getting late I think many of the diners were flagging., but the food was fabulous, the atmosphere was lovely (as usual with no hint of awkwardness that you can sometimes feel).

Always amazing food, wine & service here, but our visit for the Gareth Ward night at Obsession 24 was exceptional. Having had the privilege of visiting Ynishir, it was great to see Gareth and his team bringing their outstanding culinary skills to this restaurant for one night only

We have had memorable meals at Northcote whenever we've visited and we've admired the Obsession festival from afar. Last year we put our name in the hat to dine with Alex Greene in charge of the kitchen, and we were successful in getting a table for two, declaring it our Christmas present to each other. Wow, what a present. The evening was a dream, starting with a generous champagne reception with memorable canapés too; one a mushroom cup and the other a finely chopped steak tartare both serving to waken the taste buds. At the table a slice of warm treacle and Guiness flavoured soda bread further heightened anticipation for what was to come. Melt in the mouth cured mackerel with ponzu, cucumber, sesame, wasabi and coriander seeds git the ball rolling washed down with a perfectly matches glass of white Bordeaux. The second course was simply described as "Mushroom" but it was anything but simple. A little mushroom tart, topped with wafer thin slices of fresh mushroom resting in a brown butter and black bacon sauce was a visual and culinary work of art - a small edible sculpture, the sauce being so good I ran the tips of my fingers through the remains , licking the them clean to make sure I got it all! Fish was perfectly cooked cod with chicken skin and wild leek and garlic, again beautifully presented and moreish. The beef, oh, my goodness, the beef! It was soft and pink cutting easily and full of flavour. Accompanying beets and a clever cheek boulangere provided different textures, and even more flavour with lovage oil and whiskey sauce to finish it off. Dessert was full of flavour too with a chocolate and coffee mousse topped with a biscuit on top of which sat a ball of coconut parfait. Each component stood on its own with the flavours melding beautifully. Service throughout was paced nicely with staff delivering each course efficiently. Explanations for each course added to the experience and the sommelier helped us to select a few glasses of wine at the appropriate time. We rounded off the meal with coffee and excellent Spanish liqueurs. It was lovely to get to speak to Alex at the end and to wish him all the best for his new restaurant due to open soon in Dundrum. As we weren't staying at the hotel, we ordered a taxi to our accommodation, but the icing on the cake was to be offered a run home in an electric Porsche, courtesy of one of the event sponsors. Will we go again - oh yes, if we can get a table, we'll be back next year.

We love Northcote! The food, as ever, was sublime, the service was impeccable and we enjoyed an evening of sheer self-indulgence. we will be back!

My husband and I were there for the Obsession 24 experience with chef Alex Greene and executive chef Lisa , and what an experience it was! Fabulous food and perfect service. We had a comfortable overnight stay and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast . I highly recommend the Lancashire cheese soufflé. Very much hope to be at Obsession 25.

We were lucky enough to obtain Obsession tickets for the second year running attending Lisa Goodwinallen’s evening. What can we say. . . an amazing evening with warm welcoming staff! And of course, a sublime menu!!! Every course consisted of a visual, heavenly tasting experience. We absolutely loved the whole evening.
