Happy to find this pub when visiting Leyland. Great atmosphere, music volume was perfect to have lunch and be able to speak with others. Great for families. Impressive amount of food with good quality.

Enjoyed the fish, chips and mushy peas washed down with a couple of pints of stout. This place and the others in the WA group have really got it right in my eyes, good food at reasonable prices and a wide selection of independent beers. On that subject I'd recommend the WA pale ale which is ridiculously cheap but doesn't taste it.Atmosphere is what pubs should be, traditional without any 'ye olde fakery'.

Blooming fabulous. Independant pub so free to buy real ale from any where. Superb service. Didn't eat but by the looks of things, the food is popular. Looking forward to my next visit when in Leyland, Lancashire. Keep up the excellent work!

The Stag is a fab pub with a warm welcoming atmosphere, and amazing friendly staff led by their lovely manager Roo. The food is AMAZING (shout out to Chef Michael), in particular the pizzas, sizzlers, curries and specials. Also the Sunday Lunch! Everything that is gluten free on the menu is clearly marked. The weekly quiz is also great. 100% recommend :)

Okey for a quick tea style meal, average pub food ( not gastro). Travel bug likes to try out new places and would not recommend for a return visit.

Been coming to the stag now for a few years and got to say the staff, service and ambience are first class. So much so we had our sons recent engagement party out back and our 3 monthly meals out with 4 couples here for food and drinks. Cannot rate highly enough and would recommend a visit. Ps. Bring you appetite as food is awesome along with great ales.

Come to the Stag for a meals with my partner and family on a regular basis. Service at the bar prompt with a smile and engaging bar staff making you feel at home and welcome. Food is to die for..... Best steak I've ever had, and the pizzas and fajitas are also brilliant, not to mention the Roast Dinners. Do not hesitate to try out this place, even for a couple of drinks.
