Great coffee with reasonable prices.Very tidy inside and recently had new chairs ect. I've been coming here for years and recently it has gone up a level. It was starting to look a bit tired but this has been addressed by the new owners.Just wish they would bring back the residents discount.Nearby activities: Bowling, cinema, trampoline Park, beautiful walks, Pubs and Restaurants all within 5 minutes walk.

I've long admired Art Deco architecture and had eagerly anticipated visiting the Midland Hotel for years. My wife, our French bulldog, and I braved a cold, windy November to stay for two nights and were not disappointed. The hotel boasts ample parking, and the first glimpse of its grandeur is truly breathtaking. As an aficionado of historical architecture, I was enchanted by the hotel's Grade II listed status. Designed by Oliver Hill in 1933 and constructed by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, the building is a quintessential example of the 'Streamline Moderne' style. The front's long, sweeping curve and the central circular tower, crowned with majestic Art Deco seahorses visible from the rooftop terrace, are simply stunning. Inside, the circular staircase winds elegantly to the upper floors, where a restored Neptune and Triton medallion graces the ceiling – a sight not to be missed.Accessibility is a priority for me as a wheelchair user, and I was pleased to find the hotel's facilities exceptional. The disabled toilets were not only easily accessible but also immaculately maintained, reflecting the hotel's high standards. The breakfast was a delightful way to start the day, with delicious vegetarian sausages, beans, and tomatoes on offer. It was almost too good to be true! However, not everything was perfect. The murder mystery event we attended felt a bit too chaotic for my taste. Nevertheless, I believe this was an externally organised event and won't detract from my overall experience. In conclusion, the Midland Hotel is a gem that deserves its 5-star rating. It's a must-visit for anyone appreciating historical architecture, comfort, and a touch of luxury. Can't wait to return!

Went for a Festive afternoon tea with work. Really lovely. Attentative staff! Plenty of food. Would have been a cracking view if the weather had played ball. Would recommend.Walkability: Very walkable to the train station and Morecambe's main attractions.

A fabulous pre Christmas one night stay at The Midland Hotel, Morecambe. The room was spacious and quirky, with a wonderful view of Morecambe Bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant and breakfast was very good too.

A beautiful artdeco building which has been maintained exceptionally as a hotel. We stopped over for one night and both rooms were quirky but very functional, clean and warm. Breakfast was outstanding. Would highly recommend and will use again.

Nice place, staff are wonderful especially Amanda her service is top rate. 5* would have been awarded, but the Inn Collection Group will drag it down sadly. Every thing they've taken over has ruined the ambience of what was originally bespoke. The likes of The Regent in Ambleside, Waterhead and others in the Lakes are low rate in comparison to what they were. The food is expensive yet use the company brakes which McDonalds is also supplied by. You can taste the difference to what was locally sourced & better quality. However, the food at The Midlands was good, their chefs seem to be doing a good job with what they are dictated to have on the menu's by the Inn Collection. Freedom of creativity is not allowed sadly for any of the chef's.

A fantastic Christmas party evening for our works do. The food was excellent, brilliant service, great entertainment. Good for vegetarians/vegans, when some of our party didn't like the original choice for vege they were offered an alternative when we called to request.Cannot fault the Christmas party experience, a great little surprise for the organiser too!Thank you to the Midland for a great night!

Went for afternoon tea, service was incredibly slow. Mid way through the scones my partner found a broken up match stick in one of them, the waiter took it away without saying anything when we brought it up and no one said anything else about it until we were leaving when another waiter said "I've knocked ten percent off of your bill" as if she'd done us the greatest service ever. Not ideal. Lovely location with excellent views over the bay.

Just returned from a two night stay at the Midland. In some respects it is excellent - which it should be for the price really. The staff are brilliant - courteous and helpful. I also very much appreciated what seemed to be an inclusive recruitment policy.I had one delicious breakfast - duck eggs benedict; then the next day a croissant and a pain au chocolat that were served cold and not quite so delicious. It is truly lovely to look out over the bay as you eat.The rooms are attractive but there are issues with the ensuite bathrooms. There is no sound insulation at all - not only between your bedroom and bathroom areas but also between your room and the bathroom above. We heard every flush of the toilet above us and that wasn't great at 4.45 in the morning! The room fridge also makes a loud hum and we had to turn it off to sleep. There is a bath which was a nice surprise but there were no bathrobes. We were told that you have to request them when you make your booking. This isn't stated anywhere so not sure how we would have known to ask. And there is no moveable shower head so you wash your hair every day or wear a single use plastic shower cap. This seemed at odds with being offered a "green deal" of 2 free drinks if we chose not to have room service and clean towels on the second day. I loved this green deal concept. Shame it didn't carry through to other areas.I guess the building is very expensive to upkeep and the over all impression is of art deco beauty, but it is a bit sad in places e.g. lots of condensation running down the windows and shower sealant that could do with a refreshAll in all, I was hoping for better. We booked this as a big treat and it didn't quite hit the mark

Super lovely. A gem of the town. Lovely atmosphere with views to die for. And then the service was great, relaxed friendly and jus made to feel at ease, nothing was too much trouble. Please keep it that way! Oh, food was fresh and delicious too.Walkability: Flat area so walking is easy. When the weather is good it is beyond compare.

Beautiful hotel with well appointed rooms and facilities. Tastefully maintained but not overdone, well served restaurant but poor vegetarian choices, however, the bar meals have more vegetarian choices available. Great for dogs as easy access to numerous places for walks and toilets while staying. Pooches are allowed to eat with you which isn't always to be assumed, but a nice touch.

Only stopped for drinks whilst out walking with dogs. The staff were great, and the bar was very busy with other patrons with and without dogs. We sat in a booth and ordered a couple of well-earned drinks. The view from the bar looks out over the bay, beautiful! It had a great, friendly atmosphere, excellent location, and ample seating inside and out. We visited early November on a gloriously sunny sunday around lunchtime, and even though it was busy, there was still plenty of room for us. (Not the greatest photos, but it gives you an idea)
