Bar • “Found this pub by asking Google for pubs near me, saw a picture of a cheese and steak baguette. We drove to it and was not disappointed, it was a steak and stilton baguette served with homemade chips and salad, absolutely delicious, my son had The Black Bull burger which was also very good as were the onion rings also homemade. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff, will definitely return if I am in the area again.”

“Had a lovely lunch here today with my son 10/10 . Really delicious meals, generous portions, very healthy and reasonably priced. Will defo be visiting frequently. Their Green Juice is incredible too . Super friendly staff and service ?”
Bar • “Tom was a star, what a barman. He brought so much life and soul to the party. I can’t compliment him enough, this man is gonna go far. Amazing night and it was all thanks to Tom. Anyone else the night wouldn’t have been so amazing, you have captured a beautiful vibrant soul and you should thank your lucky stars”
Bar • “Trip out for lunch found us here.Quiet perhaps only six in which didn't do much for the atmosphere, the food though made up for it, all four of us enjoying both courses with no room for pudding. The staff were lovely not too attentive but there if you wanted anything. All washed down with a couple of pints of white which ale all in all a good way to spend an afternoon”
Bar • “Stayed here, one night, for work, amazing place, location was very good and different, extremely clean rooms, and very comfy bed and pillows,all staff very polite and helpful, had a meal in restaurant, fantastic, could not fault it, good selection of drinks , would highly recommend, both for a room or an evening meal,, will definitely stay here again when in the area again”

Bar • “Went in to check out the menu for Sunday lunch as I am gluten intolerant and don’t eat meat which normally makes it very difficult the young ladies greeting at the door where fantastic and extremely helpful we went back later and had Sunday lunch I had the vegan option and I must say it was delicious also had a singer on it was really enjoyable afternoon thank you caitlin our server and tiegan for your help”
Bar • “Attended the castle gardens for my sister's funeral, 20th October. An excellent buffet was served piping hot. Later a problem about parking occurred.This was sorted by speaking to the manager, who very quickly took care of itTo which I thank ”
“It was early in the service (12 o’clock) but Lee looked after us very well. My mobile phone had lost its charge and he kindly offered to charge it up for me. He was attentive, the food was brought in a timely manner and importantly it was enjoyable to eat.”
