It was the first time myself and husband had visited. First impressions where very warm, welcoming and very clean. Food was amazing and taste. Prices where very reasonable for the quality of food would definitely recommend and I will most definitely be coming back.

Decided we couldn't be bothered cooking and came out for tea. This is cheaper than the other local pubs for food and was better than the Boars Head we'd visited the night before, as well as much cheaper.Service was a bit slow originally but it was busy and everyone was polite and did all they could do.Starters were pretty standard but the burgers we had for our mains were genuinely some of the nicest we've had and the chef was very helpful and polite. I'd definitely recommend for some genuine pub grub at reasonable pricing. My dog got lots of treats and attention despite parking herself in the way.

I don’t like to give poor reviews but sadly feel I need to on this occasion. Went here for lunch on Good Friday. It was packed. We were warned that there was a 45 minutes to an hour wait for food but after over an hour we were told it would now be another 15 minutes. After 15 minutes he came and asked what our order was then said it was just being started! When it finally came after an hour and a half the food and plates were almost cold, the advertised Yorkshire pudding was missing and the jug of gravy was tiny for the sausages and mash. The £13 burger came with a small handful of chips whilst the £9 burger had the same amount. They did keep apologising and gave us a free round of drinks but the whole experience was extremely underwhelming and I don’t think I’d go again. They were polite enough but obviously over faced!

Really nice atmosphere. Called in whilst delivering into the local area and waiting to be picked up. Ash, I think she is the manageress , was a really friendly person and seemed pleasant and attentive. Nice pint of Guinness. Good place . Customers were nice and friendly.

We ordered 2 steaks, they were cooked perfect! exactly how we asked for them to be cooked. The lovely chef brung the food out very quickly and he made sure our stay was pleasant! The desserts were amazing and tasty! couldn’t have asked for a more brilliant service from The Oak. Pleased to say we will be making a return very soon.

6 of us popped in today for lunch. 5 of us ordered off the Sunday menu and the oak let one of us order from the regular menu (which was appreciated) I had the beef Sunday roast and it was very nice - decent amount of well cooked beef, tasty gravy and nice accompanying potatoes, parsnip, veg and Yorkshire pudding. Would def visit for Sunday lunch again

Food tasted like it was reheated from at least the day before. The pub looks scruffy inside with boxes and bits all over. Slow service.

Went with 15 people for a Christmas meal. I wasn't expecting much as this kind of thing can be rushed. The meal was gorgeous. I had the turkey. It was a lovely meal. Seemed really good quality. The deep fried kale was so tasty!!!My friend had a crumble for afters which I had a bit of. Again so tasty and good quality! I'd definitely go again. Thank you to the team for being so accommodating when I had to keep ringing up adding people and changing orders etc. We had a great time thank you :)Parking: Left my car there overnight without any trouble. Small car park and lots of street parking .
