(Rating the café, not used the shop)A vegetarian and vegan café. Glad it's still here, and the food is ok, but not as good as it was a year or two ago. Now it's fairly unimaginative pies, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, soup.I'd still recommend a visit if you want a coffee and a decent meat free lunch, but the "specials" board is sparse and doesn't feel special

Secret Garden Cafe just next to the marke.... a lovely addition to the Clitheroe cafe scene. Friendly staff always make you feel welcome. You dont have to be vegetarian or vegan as there is a wide selection of dishes on the menu, reasonably priced as well! You can access the cafe through the wool shop but there is also an entrance just round the corner through patio doors. Plenty of space to accommodate a wheelchair or pram.By the way, during the warmer months there is a lovely suntrap outside seating areaParking: There is on street parking around Clitheroe with time limits or paid car parking spaces. The nearest being the market car park next to the Secret Garden also convenient for the Town Centre

Really impressed with food, drinks and service. We are on holiday in Clitheroe and went to this cafe, sat outside in the courtyard and had such an enjoyable time. Thank you to staff for making this a memorable occasion.

Came here today for breakfast with the family - firstly the 2 ladies serving us were absolutely lovely! All of the options for veggies/vegans were amazing and the food and cakes were delicious! Super dog friendly also! Glorious experience, would absolutely come back here - thank you so much!

Found this little gem of a vegetarian/vegan cafe by accident yesterday while visiting the market. We had the most amazing veg quiche with salad and a Chia Latte with Almond milk. It was probably the best quiche I've ever had....and the brilliant bonus of being able to sit out in the gorgeous sunshine in the garden.Vegetarian options: Even enough choice for usually carnivorous husbands ?

Had a superb vegan afternoon tea here this afternoon, served by a lovely, friendly team. Soup, plenty of assorted sandwiches, crisps, scone with jam, trifle, strawberries and a selection of cakes. It’s the first vegan afternoon tea we’ve had where everything was delicious - nothing felt like a compromise.

We love eating here when we visit Clitheroe. The food is always fresh and affordable, with loads of vegan and free from options. The staff are down to earth and helpful. The chef cooks to order and makes sure everyone is well looked after. Our toddler thoroughly enjoys our vegan breakfasts! & my fiance always orders the pie, which he says is delicious. Thank you for always making us feel so welcome, Secret Garden ?

Visited for lunch after a dentist appointment and ordered mushroom & potato pie and tomato & basil soup. Everything as far as possible is made on site and chef Louis really knows how to make pastry, it was so light and crisp and the pie filling was gorgeous especially with the gravy, the soup also homemade was fabulous. Good sized portions, friendly staff and a lovely walled garden for sitting out, if the weather is nice. Love Secret Garden and hope to visit more in the future.

Called in for lunch after a dentist appointment and ordered a mushroom and potato pie with mushy peas and red cabbage and tomato and basil soup. All the food is homemade by chef Louis who makes a mean pie with such light and crisp pastry and his soup was fabulous too. Good sized portions and perfect for a cold Wednesday lunchtime. The staff are really friendly too. Secret Garden is a lovely chilled out place with a walled garden to the rear which is ideal for sunny days. Love this place and look forward to visiting more when we move back to Clitheroe.

As a carnivore who was looking for a warm place on a cold day, this Cafe was a very pleasant surprise. Had the festive pie with pickled cabbage, mushy peas, and gravy and it was absolutely delicious!

This place doesn't shout vegan and vegetarian out loud. So we only found this out after we sat at a table. I am vegan so I felt very lucky. We had broth and dumplings with red cabbage which was fantastic! Lovely friendly staff and a great outdoor space for summertime, (this was November). Can't fault...Won't lunch anywhere else when I go to Clitheroe if its got anything to do with me.

A great new discovery ! Out of the way but s short walk from the Main Street. Hearty vegetarian/vegan food. I had a pancake stack - filling and tasty. My wife had a potato and mushroom pie and said it was excellent - nice gravy, a BIG helping of mushy peas. We took the vegan scones home for later. Good points - right next to a pay and display with free blue badge parking. And if you’re into wools - take a look !
