Traditional and Reliable. I've paid several visits here, and always been satisfied. It's simply a great place to meet and dine, or just have a coffee. No pretension, no "theme" or 'USP", but good food/drink with good, friendly service.It's maybe not for the hipsters or style gurus, but then again it's not twee or fake olde worlde either. Came here for brunch and to collect a cake which I had ordered. Was not disappointed with the cake or the food! Anita was so helpful, and the cake she produced for my parents Diamond anniversay was amazing. Also tasted really good!

Oh, you Apricot Meringue people, making it very difficult to attribute stars.You are great. Food is fantastic, the best ham sandwich since Noah was a boy. Cakes are off the scale delightful. Coffee, hmmm, Lancashire.Bit noisy but well worth a quick stop in or better to take out to the glorious walks in and around the town.Hungry and thirsty people, do go here.
