Came here for drinks and food, will return. Fantastic welcome and lovely staff and owners. Best pint in the area by far and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Food is very, very good, honest pub food at good prices. Look forward to mu return visit.

Super duper food ?. We went on a Saturday night about 8:30pm , and the restaurant area was completely empty , so we were a bit worried, wondered after we had sat down whether we should scarper. The pub manager then came over to take our drink orders, and so we decided to stay. Glad we did , as the food was delicious , piping hot, good quality and a generous portion. All the staff we encountered were nice. We will come back.

Came here with my team from work, I’d only ever been for drinks before and the food came recommended by a friend. There was 15 of us and they handled us perfectly! The food was amazing and the service was second to none. Would highly recommend it!

Amazing I would like to thank landlords Sammy-Jo and Terry, Sophie(chef), Darcie, and all the staff at the B&L for making a very hard day easier. We held a wake for 100 people and the food was fantastic, constantly topped up throughout the day/evening with a fantastic variety on offer, nothing was too much trouble. From start to finish all staff were very professional and showed compassion and respect to all who attended. Thank you all. Sandra

On our way home to Yorkshire after landing at Birmingham airport and needed to eat. Quick Google search found us at The Bull & Lion. What a welcoming and wonderful find! Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were efficient and cheerful and the food was great! I wish this was my local pub!

Sunday roast was amazing staff were lovely would definitely recommend x we has prawn cocktail for starter . Beef for main and apple crumble and custard for dessert . 3 courses for 20 pound x

We visited today for lunch. The lovely host offered to put up a brolly, but lovely and cool inside. We had fish and chips and a scampi and chips. Excellent food, lovely new tenant, who couldn't have been more attentive. The table next to us was taken by a single lady 'of an age' on her own. It says it all when she obviously felt comfortable enough to visit on her own. We do enjoyed our visit.

A real Jem! Friendly little pub, the staff are really attentive and personable. Our waitress was Izzy, she was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble Will definitely be back

Went here for a drink before going for food elsewhere, the drinks, the atmosphere, the landlords were that great that we stayed here for food aswell! So glad we did, the burgers were amazing!!! Cannot recommend enough if you are in the area!!

I had 5 South Korean visitors who came over to the UK on business. We are part of the Hyundai Group. Was 2 of their first times in the UK and we’re excited to try fish and chips. We found this traditional British pub and the food was amazing. We didn’t book a table, we tried on the off chance, and there was 6 of us. We were seated straight away, lots of food and drinks choices and everything was cooked perfectly. Very friendly atmosphere and luck was in our favour that the sun came out too! Win win all round!
