48 Tamworth Rd, Ashby-de-la-Zouch09/12/25: A traffic delay resulted in staff arriving at the premises shortly before opening time & we were advised that nan breads wouldn't be available for half hour or more. As a replacement for keema nan, I was offered chapatis filled with kerma.
They were absolutely amazing & I'll be hoping to get those again. As is usual, all the food was delicious but keema chapatis deserved a special mention. The staff at Rickshaw are always friendly & accommodating. 5*++

2 Kilwardby St, Ashby-de-la-ZouchIncredibly welcoming place to pop in to for a cuppa, or something more. We had a huge pot of tea for two. Cheese scones were delicious. Geoff and Lynn who run it are absolutely lovely. Never saw so many wines on display in my life!

No food hygiene rating listed, but you can find online, it's a 4, and it isn't for lack of food quality/hygiene but the place being a bit worn out. Which is fine, the place is but feels very homely. The gentleman was really friendly and polite. Pizzas cooked fresh. Good deals (x2 8 inch pizzas for £12). Didn't skimp on the toppings.

3 Derby Rd, Ashby-de-la-ZouchWonderful experience -- super-attentive staff, especially with regard to ensuring dairy-free and gluten-free options. I had the best vegan Margharita pizza with wheat-free base I've found so far! The salted caramel vegan gelato was also delicious. My partner had the fettuccine bolognese and tiramusù, which were excellent. Great atmosphere in the place too -- busy but small enough to be cosy while not being crammed. Superb overall. We would certainly return when we're next in the area!

49 Market St, Ashby-de-la-ZouchMy mum moved down south a couple of years ago to be nearer to us and she was reminiscing about Birds and how good their food was. Nothing we could find matched her memory of your sausage rolls. For Mothers Day I ordered her some, along with some other treats, via your online ordering. I know she misses Ashby a lot and the delivery bought a tear to her eye. She reports that the food is just as good as ever!Delivery arrived well packaged and prompt.Thanks so much!!!

67 Market St, Ashby-de-la-ZouchAlthough didn't have carvery as it was Christmas eve, did have scampi from the menu which was hot, been here many times over the years and is always good, atmosphere was Christmassy and not too busy, ideal pub for going to before or after a walk around the area where there is plenty to explore in the dryer days of spring, summer or autumn

33 Market St, Ashby-de-la-ZouchHad a lovely time here with my family - staff were all very friendly and helpful while we placed a complicated irder and asked to see the carb content of a drink to help us calculate my son's medication. And we were using a cup from home that was very cold from being outside in the pram, but the barista warmed it up first so it didn't make my son's hot chocolate cold - nice touch. The salami panini is very tasty!

Service is always friendly and efficient. Unless you are having one of the specials the price is a little bit on the high side which is why it loses a star but apart from that 10/10
