Lovely staff, really patient with my elderly mother in law. Food was of excellent quality, I had a steak and ale pie with mash and veggies. The only small gripe is, it wasn't very warm in the pub itself. But likely a sign of the times. We'll be back sometime, thank you ?Vegetarian options: Good choice for vegetarians/vegans. My daughter had veggie sausages, mash & peas and she really enjoyed it.

Just had Christmas dinner here and it was excellent, the food was amazing, the service was excellent and overall a very pleasant experience. Always worry having Xmas lunch out but The Ferrers arms exceeded my expectations it was amazing. Already looking forward to booking for next year. Thank you so much to all the staff

Myself and half our party arrived early and we were happily welcomed and accommodated for drinks at a comfortable table. Once the rest of our group arrived we were seated to dine, and made to feel very welcome. Staff were attentive, patient and helpful. The lady who served us was absolutely lovely but there clearly weren't enough staff on duty. The food was nothing special and the portions not very good. Not good value for money. One meal was sent back due to the chicken being very chewy (hunters chicken) a replacement was offered but we had all finished our meal and it still hadn't arrived so we paid and left. What should have been an enjoyable family get together at Christmas was ruined. Very poor. Will not recommend or return

Overall, not bad.We had Sunday roast. Potatoes were a little undercooked, carrots and parsnip amazing, peas and sugar snap peas (not my personal favourite). We were seated in the conservatory which was a little cold and decoration was a little bland.

We dropped in for coffee after our walk round Calke. It was very dog friendly insideAnd decorated for Xmas. Very nice atmosphere and low music. Very relaxed. The menu looked good too.
First time visiting this venue. We were really impressed. It is beautiful inside and out. The staff were very friendly and professional. The food was great, and we will definitely be returning again very soon.

We were early and it was cold in there. The food wasn't great as I had burger and it was rather dry and my friend had a roast but it wasn't that hot. We were going to have a pudding but they were really busy and it would of taken ages so didn't bother. Not the best dining experience.

Came to the pub 06th Nov and was sat for a meal. Drinks order taken and then no one returned to take food order. Went to the bar and asked to pay because we were too hungry to wait anymore. Staff not bothered. Even advised us not to tip.

We needed to seat 20+ people on a Sunday lunchtime and needed tables reserving.This was not a problem, when we arrived Emma explained how they were going to chunk our orders into groups so it worked efficiently for them and us.The food came out together in the groups we had ordered in and in good time.The quality of the food was absolutely excellent, it's the first time in a year or so that we've eaten here and the quality is the best I've seen it.I had the chicken and chorizo flatbread ? kebab and it had a great chargrilled taste, a lovely fruity tasting sauce of some kind and was a perfectly sized plate of food, not a bit was left.The service was excellent, food fantastic and good value.Thanks very much. ??
