Cafe is ok - adequate food for the price (but miles behind the Beacon Hill cafe, as an example), but the place was a mess with plates and mugs everywhere and it was really noisy. Staff looked like they were working hard but probably just stretched too thinly.

Excellent coffee, handmade cakes and pastries. Plenty of space inside and out. The opening times are displayed and they don't close early unlike the National Trust at Calke.
What a lovely cafe! We enjoyed their quick and easy packed lunch for the kids, a delicious butternut squash soup and panini, yummy coffees and finished with their homemade gelato after a day out cycling in the forest! Highly recommend. Lovely service and the have gluten free and vegan options ? Thanks!

Very disapointed, been coming here for several years. The prices are not cheap but the food and hot drinks are nice.We have just had £23 of food essentially dropped on our table in an assortment of paper bags.Not impressed, this sort of price range starts to compete with eden and norths so unlikely to be returning for food.
