Good menu, great atmosphere but very small portions. We had the sharing platter at £21.34. Very tasty good quality but left hungry

An accidental find as we were desperate for a coffee and it was the nearest one to the car park. You could find the 'olde-world' look a little off putting, but coffee was great and the coffee and walnit cake very good indeed - it actually had little chinks of walnut in it - very rare, but welcome. Service excellent and not expensive. Looks like it's worth visiting for meals and wines !

A lovely traditional, quintessentially English coffee shop, restaurant and cellars. Excellent ground coffee and teas, tasty lunches including delicious sandwiches accompanied by the biggest best chip potatoes in Ashby. The staff are friendly and are always ready to send you home with lovely homemade bread, cheese and cake. Well worth a visit for lunch, hot dinners, a toasted teacake, coffee or an alcoholic beverage….

I was Introduced by a friend to La Zouch because of my interest in whisky. I joined in on a La Zouch whisky 'tasting session' and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and got to taste some very special whiskies. I enjoyed learning a lot from Geoff and Lynne . I know little about single malts other than I like drinking them. Having attended two tasting sessions with them I learned a lot and was impressed with just how much knowledge La Zouch have about high quality whisky. And so I became more adventurous in exploring and understanding what I was drinking. Recently I took a trip over to pick up a whisky I knew they would have and would otherwise be hard to find. I had a lovely time chatting with Geoff and Lynne as well as their staff and enjoyed the historic surroundings of their wonderful premises. Everyone was charming to talk with, and knowledgeable and I am even including some of the customers in that statement. I strongly recommend La Zouch for all manner of goodies!

Absolutely superb selection of tea and coffee. Reasonably priced, great traditional service . A range of cakes, sandwiches, etc. Lovely place. You can eat in their pleasant rear country garden if the weather is nice.

What a wonderfully civilised place. Excellent coffee and cake, served perfectly in a unique setting. You could go to one of the major coffee chains just up the road instead but what a treat you would miss. Go there and enjoy this unforgettable coffee house.

I spent a perfect afternoon at La Zouch with my neighbour. We chatted over tea and cake, a simple pleasure we couldn't do during lockdown. A great selection of cakes to choose from. I highly recommend the coffee and walnut cake....great service too.
