Came here on 31 October and thankfully the place wasn't covered in the usual Halloween tat. The meal was lovely and staff were very polite and welcoming.

I really don't know why this restaurant is so popular.After looking forward to this meal all week, and based on recommendations, I expected to have a meal packed with flavour and spice. What we received were curries that were so sweet they were inedible. Makon chicken, passanda, lamb korma and butter chicken tasted basically the same and were all so sweet they should have been put in the sweetie aisle at tesco. Add to that the complete lack of flavour in all dishes it left us with very disappointing meal, a bill for £150 and a trip to diabetic clinic! Yes the family ate the food but more because we hadn't eaten that day so we could enjoy our night out more.On a positive note the staff were attentive and the restaurant was clean. Really let down by the food.

*Sublime taste* Considering we are in overseal delivery was only 40-45 minutes so a fast delivery and the chicken saag balti was so good! Masala had a really nice sweet taste and just really impressed. Reasonably priced too, would defo recommend!

I am absolutely disgusted with what I recieved from this restaurant. I have ordered a few times from here and the food as been great but this time they sent me a Lamb Shank that was nothing more than bone and very small bits of meat.I phoned to complain and was told that they didn't have a container large enough to fit the whole shank in so didn't put everything in. I tried to take a photo to show how little meat there was on the plate in context to how much bone there was.I have had this dish before and it was great but this time it arrived I couldn't believe what I was looking at.The restaurant gave me a very poor explanation and I can't understand why they didn't call beforehand to explain that I would only receive a much smaller portion due to them not being able to fit enough shank in the container.I'm not paying £14 for this and I have processed a refund from Uber Eats.I will never order from here again. I'm really disappointed in your handling of this situation, you showed no respect to a customer that has ordered several times from you and would have continued but you tried to cut corners on my order because you couldn't be bothered.

Pleasent and friendly staff, beautiful home cooked
Never been here before despite living in Ashby for over thirty years. The food was nice and competitively priced.There is car parking at the side, as Tamworth Rd is a bit congested.Staff were friendly.Disabled friendlyWould I visit again? Yes

Ordered a few take aways from Rickshaw now and every time it has been delicious. The food tastes amazing, is never greasy, and feels freshly prepared. Always greeted by friendly hosts.

8 years later from the review below, I still love this place. Fantastic food and great service.Been several times now and always enjoyed it. Friendly staff who take care of your needs. Nice cosy place and a fair amount of room.There is parking, but it's a bit tight when busy.Food is great and usually served quickly and very tasty. I've had several take aways and all but one were very good... nothing was wrong with it, it just seemed it had been cooked by a different chef and wasn't as hot.Well worth a visit or take away.Parking: There is a small tarmac section to the side that when busy can be tricky to park in.
