“What a fantastic find! The staff at The Clarence are incredibly friendly and welcoming—from the moment we walked in, we were made to feel like regulars, even though it was our first visit. Whether you’re in the mood for a delicious cocktail (highly recommend the mojito – absolutely sublime!) or just want a late-night coffee at 10pm, the service is fast, warm, and genuinely attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed but polished—just the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. We’ll definitely be returning!”

“Great service, great food and well priced. Firstly the staff were very friendly, tentative and always at hand without being clingy. The food is very nice, especially at the price point. I had the sizzler platter and masala fries, the wife had a paneer curry and both were really good. The restaurant has a nice relaxing and friendly feel to it with a decent selection of drinks on tap.”

“I received the distillery tour and gin making class as a gift for my 30th birthday. I’ve never done it before, but it was absolutely fantastic. The staff were informative, friendly and very funny. The experience itself of actually making our own gin and being able to pick all the ingredients was brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone. “Sunday dinner was spot on! If you have not had a dinner here recently give it a go- everything was perfect. So nice to have a Sunday dinner in a pub that tastes like it was cooked at home not reheated or microwaved. The service was great and atmosphere welcoming. Highly recommend”

“We had a baby shower meal for a friend here and tarro lounge were very accommodating. On arrival we had bought decorations and a cake and nothing was too much trouble for Fossey, finding us vases, a cake stand and little bits to make the table look lovely! They were also very accommodating for such a big group of us! Would definitely recommend, we had a lovely afternoon! :)”
