Came here today with my 9 month old and two friends and thier babies. Lovely atmosphere, great coffee and served by a friendly lady. We also went in the sensory room, my daughter loved it. Will definitely come

Visited this week because I was recommended by a friend, the lady behind the counter has no customer service skills, and was very rude from the word go. It’s a shame because it’s such a lovely place but would not recommend to visit.

Went a few days ago with my little one. Food was nice. Lady behind the counter was very rude, made me feel ridiculously uncomfortable and embarrassed me in front of everyone. This was because I took my own drink into the cafe. I understand that it’s a small business. But my drink was half full. I also purchased food, which came to a total of 9.50. Wouldn’t recommend going as the woman is blunt and doesn’t communicate with the little ones.

Quick stop off for a coffee and a toastie,Two latte’s and an Americano coffee, ordered a Hama and Cheese toastie, it only came with Cheese, was hot and tasty. The den is a family / child based venue, not a coffee shop as the regular ones would be positioned as but served us well whilst we passed some time. It’s a nice set up and seems to be working towards young people that live in Burbage.

I went to The Den today with my 4 month old son, my friend and her 8 month old son. We planned to have lunch and drinks, but both babies became upset and tired so we had to leave after around 45 minutes. As most Mums are aware babies can be quite difficult, so we hadn’t managed to get a drink or food up to that point. The whole time I was there, the lady behind the counter made me feel very uncomfortable. This was the first time I had been out somewhere like this with my son, and she made me feel completely uneasy. She wasn’t very amicable at all and I felt as if she was watching us the entire time we were there. As we left, she stopped us rudely at the counter and said that it wasn’t a free play area and quizzed us as to why we hadn’t we bought anything. My friend had been there numerous times before and had always bought something, but as explained, this time we were unable to. We were planning to buy a takeaway drink on the way out, but she very quickly jumped down our throats before we could even ask. She made us feel cornered as though we couldn’t leave without spending money. I won’t be visiting again and definitely don’t recommend to new mums unless you want to be made to feel uncomfortable and humiliated in front of other customers.

Really nice little spot to meet up with other mums while the little ones play. Great coffee and bites

Such a lovely little cafe! Friendly and accommodating. We only popped in for takeaway coffees this time, after so many recommendations, but we'll definitely be back to sit in and have a nibble. Our visit really brightened my day!Parking: We were lucky to find some street parking near by - it was really busy. I couldn't tell if there were any other parking options.Dietary restrictions: Unfortunately, no gluten free baked goods, but the banana bread and brownies looked divine.

We've just had a valentine's share box delivered and it did not disappoint. The Den do similar share boxes throughout the year. A great selection of cheese, nibbles, continental meat and sweet treats! Something different to an afternoon tea. Thank you so much The Den

Really nice relaxed coffee shop. Great for my 10 month old who loved the play area. Toys and books and a good selection of food.

Excellent little coffee shop, great to bring the kids to. It has a lovely little play area that's free! Coffee is great too!
