Visited for the first time and we booked online which was easy to do. Went for brunch and was hoping to go for a walk nearby then return for lunch and drinks. We cancelled our food booking at lunch as our breakfast food experience did not meet expectations. The decor is lovely, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the parking and access is great, they accept doggies which is fantastic and they have a lovely walk nearby, all perfect. We ordered the full English, pancakes and the avocado on toast. The full English was good, just not great and could have been hotter. The pancakes were bland and rubbery and we asked for bacon instead of compote (paid £2.50 extra) but the server put the bacon on the avocado and toast order. Not a problem as mistakes happen and server was polite and apologised but it was the fact that the bacon was cold and with that slightly uncooked stringey bacon fat.The Hambleton sour dough toast served with avocado was hard and very chewy and the cold avocado mush on top was not very appealing as watery and lacking avocado texture. The poached eggs (£2.50 extra) with the avocado were also cold. Not the food experience we were hoping for. Perhaps the kitchen was having a bad day as the place was packed and loads of people looked like they were having a great time and enjoying the food. Most of this place and all the friendly staff are gorgeous but for us our food experience could have been hotter, tastier and better quality for the money. We returned in the afternoon for drinks and had a great experience with lovely hot drinks and beer. Our poochie was also well cared for.

Obviously not the cosiest venue but was still a nice place for our family meal. I was pleasantly surprised at the choice of beers and the food was good. To cap it off the service was excellent. Overall well worth a

Lovely building and outside seating area.Great choice of beers.Food good.Service absolutely terrible, we waited 20 mins to be asked what we would like to drink, another 20 for drinks to arrive, ordered food when the drinks arrived.I ordered a ‘Float’ of beers .Think that’s a great idea.3 small beers to try to see which you like.We were seated near the kitchen/service area. Noticed that a plate of fish and chips had sat there for about 15 minutes, joked that we hoped it wasn’t one of our meals .Low and behold it was .Didn’t get chance to try any other beers as we weren’t asked if we wanted any more drinks not even when they bought the food .No staff near even to askEverards you lost out on at least 3 more round of drinks we would have had , on a table of 8 that’s a lot of revenue.Would visit again, only to drink and would go to the bar myself .

Was staying nearby so thought I’d walk to take a look. What a find! A warm welcome, friendly staff, great atmosphere and amazing beer! I ordered a taster flight of 1/3 pints for £4.80 which was a great way to taste a few. Will be back with family to try more and eat. Well done Everards! A great experience.

A relaxed venue with great food and drinks.Loved the aubergine pasta dish. Friends loved the grazer board and steak fritte.Service a little slow though they were busy.

Service at the bar is terrible, the food is ok except for the burgers which are dry and overcooked.
