I have been going to the Windmill at Brascote for ten years now so when I decided to throw my husband a surprise 50th birthday meal, I knew instantly that I wanted to have it there and thankfully it was a goer!! I was excited for the surprise and knew that having it at the Windmill would make it really special. I was equally excited to share this gem of a place with our closest friends and family (46 of us) and for them to experience not only the absolutely delicious food that is consistently delivered but also the warm and kind hospitality that Sophie, Steve, Alan and team put their hearts into, making the Windmill at Brascote a truly special place. The celebration was outstanding from start to finish. Sophie, you are 1 in a million; thank you so much for all of your patience with the planning, my constant texts and questions and your great ideas even suggesting a playlist for the evening. We ate many of our favourites starting with spring rolls, garlic bread and a camembert special followed by chicken curry, rice, skinny fries, braised beef, crispy chilli beef and Spanish prawns for tables to share. Pizza, chicken goujons, skinny fries and sausages for the kids! It was all delicious, thank you Alan and team, everyone was talking about the food for days after!! The service was brilliant, personalised and so attentive, making sure my Mum had enough prawns and that I had my favourites!! Drinks were great and the shots went down a treat, Steve you make a fantastic mini Guinness!! Thank you again Steve, Sophie, Alan and team, we made so many great memories that evening that we will cherish including the photos of Sophie and Steve with the monkey balloons and the Birthday Boy!! We visited for a big family meal there was around forty of us that had not seen each other for a long time. Traveled from all over to come and celebrate my uncles 50th The place is a proper country pub and the staff were all friendly. They had arranged the tables so we were all sat together. We had a set meal that was a mixture of different food that my auntie had arranged with the staff a week before that is served regular by them. It all came to our tables and we helped ourselves. Servers were quick to bring it all out and could not do enough. Food was all so tasty and every dish was tried and enjoyed. The kids had different types of pizza to try any that was left was offered to take home The whole family have all said they would return. I highly recommend to anybody that would like a decent meal or even just for the country pub experience

My wife threw me a surprise birthday party at the windmill in January with 46 guests and I can honestly say it was amazing from start to finish. The food and service is second to none and all my guests were raving about it afterwards and will be coming back. Many thanks to all at the windmill for making my 50th bash so special xx

We arrived yesterday for a family birthday celebration and from the second we arrived all staff were extremely attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We were seated straight away,given menus and drinks orders were taken. There was an amazing range of delicious tapas and stone baked pizzas to choose from and all I can say is Wow, wow, wow! The food was incredible! The tastiest food I have ever had. Sophie and Steve the owners are so friendly and always make sure you have everything you need. They all sang happy birthday as they brought out the birthday cake and made it such a special occasion. I would highly recommend The Windmill Inn to everyone. There's something for everybody and you truly feel spoilt and looked after by the kind and friendly staff. Cant wait to book again! Thanks Sophie and Steve! We will be rushing back very,very soon! Xx

What a treat! Visited for my bro-in-laws birthday (he is a local!) Sophie could not have been more welcoming. Decor is lovely, all of the staff were friendly and seemed happy to be there! The food was delicious and very generous portions, served hot and fresh and the team were happy to accommodate any specific taste requests. I am reliably informed from every family member that the pies are delicious, they certainly looked it! The whitebait starter was glorious & everyone devoured their choice of dishes. The homemade ice cream is AMAZING! I hope I don’t have to wait until next December for a return visit!!!

We have never been disappointed at the Windmill. There is such a great choice of menu of very different types of dishes - always something to tickle the taste buds. The food is freshly cooked and tastes delicious. The welcome and service are so friendly. When the owners are the front of house and chef - they have a really good reason to give the best! They refer to it as tapas, but the portions are larger than normal. It is our 'go to' restaurant when we want a great lunch.

Lovely setting to pig out with lots of tasty tapas! We booked here to try somewhere new for a girls lunch, and we're so glad we found the Windmill! We had an array of meat and veggie tapas meals and they were all fantastic. Amazing chilli cheese garlic bread, stir fry veg and chicken curry. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back!
