Chinese Restaurants in Loughborough

“This was my third visit this year and I am even more impressed by the quality of food and service at this restaurant. The moment you walk in you can tell it is a fabulous spacious venue with high ceilings and beautiful decor. The staff are always smiling and the extensive menu has a variety of Chinese and East Asian dishes. This time I tried the Indonesian nasi goreng, which was surprisingly authentic in flavour and presentation. The starters are small but reasonably priced and I particularly liked the Japanese gyoza. Singapore Tiger Beer is available along with a range of affordable wines. Our large group were well looked after on a memorable midweek evening. No doubt I will be returning soon. Thanks to all involved, including the hard working staff behind the scenes. Loughborough is indeed lucky to have a culinary gem like this.”

“What can I say, our regular go to Chinese, the food we have never had a problem with and we've tried a variety of choices every time we order. The portion sizes are very generous, one item is definitely enough to feed two...They are the kindest souls as soon as you walk in and they look after you every time. Honestly don't understand why the rating is so low on here. Definitely recommend Oriental Chef :)”

“Waiting for food is a pretty poor experience. The waiting area is sealed off to a tiny area with the rest being an unsightly storage area for boxes. Unheated, damp and musty. I am hopeful the kitchens are better maintained. Food is nice, but portion sizes have reduced, sadly.”

“First time trying the Salt and Pepper Munchy box and it didn’t disappoint full of flavour and plenty to go around. The chicken was juicy and the ribs were packed full of flavour. We were lucky enough to win this by entering a competition via the fb page and what a treat this was on Xmas eve. Communication was friendly and we will 100% be ordering again. “I’m a regular visitor with my daughter or a friend. The food is consistently good and the service always delightful. The portions are generous and fresh, and timely on arrival. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. There is ample parking just 70m away, and a great pub next door for retiring to after a meal.”
