it was clear from the start just how fantastic Mae was. Even though the restaurant was busy, she was everywhere at once, attentive, friendly, and completely unflustered. You could see she was giving every table the same level of care and attention.

The food was absolutely amazing as well. everything that came out looked incredible and tasted just as good. Combined with Mae’s brilliant service, it made the whole atmosphere feel really welcoming and well run. It’s rare to notice service from afar like that, but she really stood out. We’ll definitely be back!

We had an incredible bottomless brunch here for a pre-wedding celebration and it was absolutely fantastic! The drinks really were endless — our glasses were never empty — and the service was top-notch from start to finish. All the staff were brilliant — friendly, attentive, and full of energy. A special shoutout to Henry, who went above and beyond to make the whole experience fun, smooth, and memorable. He really helped set the tone for an amazing celebration. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off the wedding festivities. Highly recommend!

Always love getting the Turkish breakfasts here. Extremely generous portions of salami/sausages and cheese (feta and mozzarella). Underneath the pile of meat is a slice of toast, still crispy despite the weight above it.

They even have a bookshelf for customers to read while enjoying their coffee. Store is fairly small but well maintained. Staff are very nice and friendly.

John McCarthy is a class act. Great pub, easily the best in Charnwood and has been for some time. The Lost In Music garden parties are legendary. But yeah just wanted to say John is a credit to the industry. Some view the role of a barman as a low skilled job but when you watch John at work, the attention to detail, the precision, the care and the love he puts into every tiny aspect of the profession makes you realise that there is an art to this, it should be respected and he is a man that commands respect. Overall a good experience but I had to return my main as all I could taste was pepper. It was taken off the bill without my having to request it so it was dealt with well enough. One of the waitresses needs more training in customer service. How to smile and not react with a virtual eye roll when asked to replace the knife with a spoon for the pasta dish. It was only my first visit but I would give it another go.

I do think their pizzas are authentic and tasty and the best in Leicestershire and best eaten straight from their oven. If taking away they must definitely be heated and not eaten cold . The dough in particular is lovely. Service is good but sometimes slow. I used to love the Old 3 with the combination of fennel, pistachio and the cheese but I think something has changed lately. The salami is quite fatty and I can't taste the fennel. I am hoping it was just a one-off because that pizza was soooo good otherwise I will have to find another favourite on the menu. I do like the decor and my son loved the little touches of the dinosaurs or ninja turtle toys normally placed at the table with the bill .

Came down to The Moornings with the family all the way from Wales and plonked ourselves in the garden. Food? Honestly, three stars – nothing fancy. But then we met Krishan… and blimey, what a lad!

Polite, enthusiastic, and proper charismatic. He popped by every table asking if folks were happy, even the next lot over, and left everyone grinning. Later, on quiz night, he was behind the bar, swapped a beer barrel in seconds, and still had time to keep everyone
Food was okay, and one old staff weren’t great who unable to took food order and spoil drinks , but Krishan another lad are an absolute superstar!

Handled problems like a pro, kept long queues under control, checked on every table, and had everyone smiling. The two young lads on shift were also brilliant. Food and management need a bit of work, but Krishan alone makes this pub worth returning to.

This place is amazing. We had a lamb vindaloo & a chicken korma with garlic naan. The chicken korma was outstanding easily hands down the best one we've ever had! The vindaloo was delicious as well lovely spice on it and very fresh. The staff here are also very kind and helpful. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting/living in Loughborough and looking for an authentic Indian. Spectacular!

I went for an evening meal with my OH and friends. We had made a reservation in advance, and were shown to our table soon after we arrived.\n\nAlthough it was a Monday evening (which is often quieter for some restaurants), it was quite full, perhaps due to their weeknight menu which offer two courses and a drink for a fixed price.\n\nI choose the calamari and prawns for starter, which was excellent, followed by pasta with beef and then crème brûlée for desert. The portions were a sensible size and good quality, so overall were a fair price.\n\nOverall, we enjoyed the evening meal, there were only two negative points. Firstly, the music was too loud, which meant you needed to raise your voice to be heard by others; and secondly, it was very hot in the restaurant (it was a very warm evening), air conditioning is definitely needed. Despite these minor points, I intend to visit again.

Scott is so knowledgable and a lovely host, delivering a superb range of white and red wines to sample, together with a cheese board to ensure we are fed.

We’ve visited Sutalia many times in the past for breakfast, which has always been amazing, but tonight we came in for an evening meal with our family and it was nothing short of outstanding.

Thwy are the most welcoming and friendly cafe in loughborough, they cater to my coeliac diet and every meal and cake is perfectly delicious!
And they have drinks you can't get anywhere else in loughborough!
Dog friendly, family friendly and work friendly! It does it all!
Chet, is the best and she is the most incredible owner, who goes out of her way for her customers and all of her staff reflect her wonderful energy!

Ok surroundings are a tad industrial and you don't get a view of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon but plenty of free parking. I recently visited The White Lion and had such a genuinely lovely experience that I felt compelled to share it.

From the moment we walked in, the welcome was warm and sincere. The staff created a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. It’s the kind of pub where you can truly unwind — comfortable, cosy, and full of character.

We were lucky enough to sit by the open fire, which made the whole experience even more special. There’s something unbeatable about settling into a comfortable seat with the glow and crackle of a real fire beside you, especially while enjoying a lovely glass of Rioja. It was the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the evening.

The pub itself was spotless throughout, and I must say — the toilets were exceptionally clean. It’s always a good sign when a pub pays attention to those details, and it certainly didn’t go unnoticed.

All in all, The White Lion at Rempstone offers that rare combination of warmth, comfort, and quality. I’ll absolutely be returning.

Sonny's create wonderful Thai food with flavours to tantalise the taste buds. The menu has a wide choice of dishes and even when the restaurant gets busy (because it's popular) food is cooked fresh and delivered to your table in an efficient manner.

Whilst visiting The John Taylor foundry in the town, we needed somewhere to have a drink and lunch. This pub is an exceptional. . From booking to paying they are to be commended on the excellent manner in dealing with large orders without fuss. Samantha and her staff looked after our group. No one was dissatisfied or felt left out and the quality and quantity of the food I believe could not be matched anywhere. Fantastic great job.

We had our daughters 6th Halloween party on the 1st Nov, all I can say is wow!
Simon was fantastic and if i could give more stars then I would!
All the children were engaged and it was so natural. All the adults had fun too.
I chose this place as I had been a guest at a previous party and wasnt feeling myself and didnt want to go as I thorght it was just another kids party... how wrong was I !!
I left smiling and thinking about the party all day so the next day I booked it for my daughter. I don't think we can this top this party!... EVER! Thank you so much ?

The staff are so lovely and friendly. The pizzas have such a good crust, soft and crunchy. Delicious flavours, I love the tomato base. Quick and efficient service as well. Very good prices. I'm very impressed, definitely recommend and definitely coming back.

Food took a while but it's a tiny kitchen and when it arrived it was great hand fried chips lovely omelette but smelly need a bigger extractor fan or open the doors as it just smells of fried food. But then if you want fried chips it will smell lol no I enjoyed the food x

Food was good other than slightly overcooked katsu chicken that somehow had moist panko. Service is lovely in there, feels like getting food from your Auntie's place, it is a little cramped though and didn't have anything to entice me to eat in the establishment.

Delicious coffee shop & bakery on high street (Loughborough). Great breakfast deal; coffee and pastry for £5. Ordered a biscoff latte and a cruffn (croissant and muffin hybrid). Really tasty, a generous chunk of chocolate cream in the middle. Biscoff complimented the latte perfectly.

A lovely local coffee shop. The staff are always really polite and friendly at both sites and we’ve never struggled getting a table at Storer Road. There is always a wide selection of cakes and we’ve never had one we haven’t liked! Coffee is also really nice and wide range of drinks.

Great food that’s reasonably priced. I had the chicken satay, laksa noodles and a mojito.
Chicken satay could have been a bigger portion as it only came with 3 skewers.
The Laksa was perfect and a good portion size.
Mojito was also great and only £10.50 for 2.

I do wish the menu had descriptions of what was in things but I’m sure you can ask the waiter as they are friendly.

Probably the best Chinese food in town. Chicken is superb - crispy in the outside and tender in the middle. The egg fried rice gives Sonny’s street food (Thai place in town) a run for their money - individual rice grains and super flavourful. Overall 5/5.

Such incredible food! The flavours are SO good! I don't usually take time to write reviews for fast food, because it's usually on the go. But this was such a great experience I had to take the time to stop, take some pictures and immediately write a review. The owners are so kind and friendly, the prepare everything wholeheartedly. You can tell that they use quality ingredients as its immediately apparent when you taste the food. All the meat is fresh, nothing tastes old at all! Definitely one of my best experiences for a takeaway. I highly recommend it going to this place. I love the fact that they also have seats the side that you can sit down and eat. Food hygiene rating is 5/5! I will definitely be a regular!

P.s I CANT BELIEVE HOW MUCH VALUE YOU GET FOR YOUR MONEY!!!! ITS CRAZY!

First time trying the Salt and Pepper Munchy box and it didn’t disappoint full of flavour and plenty to go around. The chicken was juicy and the ribs were packed full of flavour. We were lucky enough to win this by entering a competition via the fb page and what a treat this was on Xmas eve. Communication was friendly and we will 100% be ordering again. Think this is a no brainer for my fellow Chinese (international) students who long for a taste of home, or anyone craving some delicious and fairly affordable Chinese food. Everything cooked fresh, loads of ‘wok hei’, and really generous portion sizes. They never miss with their salt & pepper chicken bites, fried rice/ noodles and prawn toast.

Restaurant is fairly small but can accommodate 20+ people, worth booking if you have a big group. Staff are very nice and friendly. Free prawn crackers and fortune cookies for large groups

Visit this cafe on weekly basis.. The majority of the time there is a good selection of sweets and savory items for sale. The staff are good. One member of Staff Ellie always goes above and beyond to makee welcome. The only disappointment is the lack of ability to clean the tables when a customer leaves. On a number of occasions customers are having to move the dirty items away themselves
