Whilst towing our caravan, our car broke down with 2 children and a dog in the village of Rempstone. Whilst awaiting recovery I arrived at the pub on friday evening to get us into the warm and find safe haven. It turns out that I'd found Britian's friendliest pub!! The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure we were set up on wifi, fed cobs and kept comfortable. Simone and her partner really went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after. The locals offered us a very warm welcome too and no-one minded 2 sleeping children taking up space on the benches. And, at pub closing time (when we still hadn't been rescued - 6 hours along), one local came to speak to me to ensure that we had a bed for the children for the night - this village really is full of the nicest people in the country! If our path ever takes us to Rempstone again, I will look forward to visiting. Can't thank the community of Rempstone village enough for your warm welcome and hospitality in our moment of need.

A very pleasant and welcoming local pub, mainly frequented by locals but there is reasonable on street parking if you're coming from further afield.

Lovely little country pub with great beers, very friendly service and atmosphere. They don't serve food but there's a very good fish and chips van calls round every Tuesday evening, and your welcome to eat them in the pub.P.s don't tell everyone as you get everyone in.Love the place
