We celebrated a family birthday with Sunday lunch for 18 in the garden room. Great food, great service & many thanks to the Windmill team who looked after us all so well ?

This may just be our new favourite and I don't mind the 25min drive to get there! All the meals stood out and were of an excellent standard, been once only, and will be back to try more of the menu. Excellent!

Popped in for a lunchtime sandwich, very warm welcome, lovely food (steak sandwiches chunky chips and side salad), good selection of drinks. Dog friendly, thoroughly recommended.

I have eaten here on multiple occasions and have always enjoyed every choice on the menu. Staff are always friendly and willing to go over the top for any requirements. They have a wide selection of drinks to choose from as well as bar snacks. I have never had any problems with the food as it has always been top notch. The location is picturesque and the pub decor is cosy. Perfect for the winter months! Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Had a superb meal at the Windmill last night. There was a big group of 33 of us out for a Christmas celebration. The food was really good, the service was excellent and the surroundings were nice and Christmassy.

We were served by Alyssa who was great. The main course salad was delicious but the size of a starter, much smaller than expected. Alyssa handled it well by agreeing and offering another item and giving us a discount as well. The venue and location is lovely, as are all of this chain’s pubs.

Oh dear. We've been coming here for ages, but not been for about 10 months. When we walked in the floor was sticky and the menu was disappointing, not the variability with what we were used to. We actually wanted to leave, but thought we'd carry on. Menu was boring. Anyway we did order, but I felt it was microwaved as even the fish was really hot and the skin soggy. What I got was a plate of tough trout and loads of greasy potatoes, no crispy kale. The tables were not placed properly, so had to move the table to get in to sit down. I went to spend a penny and the toilet next to me was constantly flushing and the toilet rolls were in a basket behind me. The paint work was in need of a work over. The bar was full of unwashed glasses when we went to pay, but the two girls serving were lovely. I really don't think that it's going to be a visit for a long time...... I was so so disappointed.

Lovely, welcoming place in an exceptionally pretty village. The decor is very smart and cosy with a very relaxing feel. Just a really nice place to spend a couple of hours. Service was excellent and the food was much enjoyed; the pulled pork went down particularly well. Well kept local beer. We will return!
