A great place to visit with family & take your dogs too! Very friendly place. Service cancelled be a bit slow probably cause it's a relaxed atmosphere.

We went for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. We are somewhat the foodie type and have eaten in many places, including 5 star London restaurants. The food here was absolutely on par with that and was delicious. Highly recommend the black horse and the excellent staff. Well done guys ?❤️

Lovely pub. Better value than the pay to park ones closer to locks. Gorgeous garden and always really friendly.

Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Football and golf on TV but no sound (a bonus as not fans of ether). Love the box of ladies toiletries in the toilets a great thought. Couldn't see the garden terrace as a Saturday night in February. Food was great highly recommend. Will come back in the summer!

Friendly pub, used as a pitstop on our dog walk. Dog friendly but not really family friendly as there's no kids menu and the small portions are adult size. A bit pricey but food was nice and came out quick. Staff were friendly.

Not too far from the beaten track but far enough to escape the madness. Really quaint building in a lovely village. Started with a caramel cappuccino as good as any costa or starbucks. We tried the Sunday menu, which isn't huge but is filled with delicious offerings. I had the turkey roast dinner, which was really tasty. The veg was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The Yorkshire pudding was crispy and full of traditional homemade gravy and the turkey was generously portioned and sitting on a bed of creamy mash and roasted potatoes. Great views accross a lovely part of South Leicestershire. My advice would be to book ahead to avoid disappointment. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks guys you knock the ball out of the park. Average pub trying to do everything. Food average and very expensive for quality. Staff are the only real redeeming feature. Ales and drinks hardly inspiring like the interior decoration. Probably great on a Summers day when you can utilise the beer garden.Vegetarian options: A few
