“Do NOT be put off by the rather bright, almost cafe-like interior, this obviously very community focussed pub has a very welcoming landlord and staff, great beer, and food that massively surpassed expectations. We just had normal pub food, but the steak and ale pie was one of the best I've had, and the ham egg and chips was definitely the best ever!”

“We went on a Sunday. Menu was small - different roast dinners, fish n chips, and another option, I think. It was amazing! Never has a Sunday dinner tasted so good! Staff were lovely and very helpful. Prices were reasonable, n puddings, just fab. I wish we lived here. Sadly, we were just there for the weekend.”

“Hi I visited last night for a Harry Potter quiz (10th August) with my daughter and grand daughter plus a couple of friends. The girls are mad on Harry Potter so we went along!
There were lots of teams but everyone was very friendly. Staff were great and quick to bring drinks.
The questions were pitched at the right level for all ages and moved along quickly. Liked the 5pm start as not the whole evening taken up.
I hope there are more themed nights especially as the money goes to a great cause. Well done everyone involved.”

“Booked in here for an anniversary meal and certainly enjoyed the food. Service was excellent with friendly and cheerful staff. Only down side was feeling a bit rushed to vacate the table after eating as the next booking had arrived, only an hour between bookings.”

“Went there last night Friday with my brother-in-law and his wife the first pub we tried to get into was full and on driving we stumbled upon this little gem on entering the place was rocking but a friendly staff member ( NOAH)found us a table we ordered our food and we had two pints of everards tiger beer great little pint
Our food arrived and it looked lovely and tasted even better cooked to perfection the meals were the best that I've tasted in many a year so much so I've booked a table for this evening and I'm looking forward to it.
The staff were brilliant friendly and most of all always smiling and laughing a sign of staff being happy”

“Faultless throughout. The staff are sensational. Very friendly and eager to help. Efficient service. The food was top notch (we had a party in the far dining room, with a cold buffet, which was delicious). The drinks are reasonably priced. Good selection of beers, wine and gin. Garden is spacious and good for children (pebbles and grass). Very grateful to John, Harry, Luke and the team for their efforts. Very lucky to have such a great pub in the village.”
