First time here, visited as a birthday meal for my wife. Ambience was perfect, small , intimate, but didn’t feel claustrophobic. service was excellent and very friendly. Food was beautifully prepared and presented. If you’re a gannet, like me, the portions and on the smaller side. We had the seafood stew as a main and it was delicious. Deserts were ok, although my rum and raisin terrine had just be shown the bottle. £95 for 3 courses and drinks. There is parking on the street outside and a car park within a very short walk, which is free after 6.00pm. Will return here.

Really liked my Bouillabaisse, it even contained a big chunk of lobster ? although the parma wrapped Saucisson was a bit too "pigs in blankets"... Everyone else was really enjoying the food once it arrived.

Last visit pre covid but always wanted to come back. Really busy for a Wednesday lunchtime with great food, drink and service. Lots of seafood options in a set price lunch menu.

Excellent espresso martinis. However, rather than the set menu, I ordered the very dear surf and turf. The lobster was excellent, but the steak £38 was poor quality -- flavour and texture. It was mentioned to the waiting staff, who didn't act other than 'we'll let the kitchen know', when in actualy fact, I would've expected the manager to speak to me and/or some money off the bill.I left with buyer's remorse as I overpaid for substandard quality.

We’ve visited Rocksalt a number of times since we’ve lived in Market Harborough. However tonight’s visit was the first time in a while (Jan 2024).We all enjoyed our meal, however we were disappointed with a few aspects, including the very small side dish of seasonal vegetables, not really enough for even one portion. Also the triple cooked chips that arrived with the steak were undercooked, I can’t imagine these had really been ‘triple cooked’ which was such a shame. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and a great asset to the restaurant.Overall it was a nice meal and I’m sure we will in time be visiting again in the future.

First time at Rocksalt, my son and daughter in law recommended this place to us and boy was it a good recommendation, from the minute we walked in the door we felt very at home and welcome, the food was nothing short of excellent, we had a starters and mains ( not enough room for desert) every single piece of food was outstanding and not to mention the service. All in all a very nice place with outstanding food and service at very reasonable prices. If you are in Market Harbour this is a must.

Had a family meal here. Food was very good considering my family are usually pretty fussy. I had a fish pie, and scallops for starter. Was really delicious. The best part of the experience was the service. There were many people working here and they were super attentive.

Menu has only one vegetarian option, no vegan options and there was no non-dairy milk options for coffees and teas. Obviously as a 'seafood and grill' place it's never going to be first choice for veggies but it makes it harder for large groups with mixed diets if there's few options - other restaurants are much more accommodating. If you're vegan/veggie and part of a group looking for a place to eat, you should veto this place.

Food is always good. Perfect fillet steak this time although a tricky choice as menu is good!

Ordered fish and chips and wasn't what I Expected The fish was mushy with over cooked batter. After sending it back another one arrived 10 minutes later with the same chips which were cold , and undercooked batter and fish next time. The fish is very poor quality, not white and flaky but grey and mushy. Not what I expect to pay for in a supposedly fish restaurant!!! I would personally avoid and go to the local Wetherspoons where it is half the price and described as COD . I really don't know what fish they use at Rock salt but if it's Cod the chef needs some cookery lessons

the steak was cooked to perfection, the staff members are very polite and welcoming and ensuring the food is all correct, good prices for the quality and definitely made to feel like a special occasion.

Special occasion dinner. Service good. Mains were very good but desserts a let down. Rum and raisin terrine was a slab of something vaguely chocolatey and missing the stated honeycomb. Returned it to kitchen. Ice creams lacked flavour. Did get the terrine and drinks costs written off. Will stick to savoury dishes in the future here.
