The Langton Arms was best restaurant in the area I was there two weeks ago they had only sirloin stake which was below average and cost £26, comes with a bit of chips, half of tomato and one mushroom. I had for a starter prown cocktail it came half frozen, had very bad experience and I am not going there any more.

Really disappointing this year, used to be a frequent costumer in the past… Sunday roast very poor and flat, nothing specialStarters were very basic as well as a desserts. We paid £35 pp for a a quality of £15-20 maximum.

I honestly think this may have been a one-off problem. Everything about the pub was lovely, except the mushroom and onion soup, which just tasted like a boiled onion in water. The complete lack of seasoning and ingredients seemed utterly improbable. I think it must have been a mistake. My friend had the same and ate his. So please dismiss this as a one-off.In reply to your question, I'm not sure how you would correct this as the chef may not have even realised that something was forgotten. I did let the serving staff know. She just smiled politely and took the 'soup' away. The visit was on 28 Jan 2024.Wishing you all well.

Very poor service . Disappointing Mothers Day meal . Expensive , small vegetable portion for 4 people . Crackling missing . No one asked how our meal was. Empty glasses left on our table and no one asked if we wanted more drinks. Despite telling the waitress my frustration she didn’t seem to be concerned and left without asking our drinks order and leaving the empty glasses . Won’t be returning for Mothers Day again .

Lovely food and beer, great friendly service and atmosphere. Proper village pub. Bit of a wait for food but for a reason as it’s very popular. Booking advised

This is a lovely venue and the service was good but have to say the food was lacking. Portion sizes for main meals were so small for the price leaving us feeling a little ripped off!

Lovely country pub, excellent staff and truly lovely food. The mini doughnuts we had for dessert were scrummy. The bill was very reasonable too. We'll be back.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options and they are also happy to make swaps
Very disappointing lunch - unusually so as have always had great food here. We ordered sea bass with crushed potatoes. The sea bass was way overcooked and instead of potatoes we got a plate full of gnocchi! They did refund the meals but it was a shame

Went for a meal with a friend, service was good and it's a nice quiet establishment- no loud background music which is a big plus.

Fantastic example of a pub/restaurant. The atmosphere is very cosy and classic in the pub area and brighter and more modern to the dining area. The menu is great with lots of choice. One of the best pork bellies I've ever had in any restaurant and at a truly affordable price. This place is well worth a visit for a quick drink or a good meal.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options and a couple of dishes which can be altered to vegan alternatives.Parking: Lots of parking to the rear, but the parking lot is not well maintained so drive slowly.
