Met two friends for lunch here yesterday, we ordered a portion of sweet potato fries with our meals which when the waitress bought them out to us were burnt and black, 2 things here what sort a of chef lets them go out of the kitchen like that and the waitress didn’t not even question it and served them anyway, the arancini was tasteless and unseasoned, no one asked if our meals were ok till the end, I said the fries were black and burnt, the waiter wandered back to the kitchen saying I’ll tell the chef, he came back and said I’ve removed them from the bill, no apology. Such a shame the setting is very nice but the food definitely lets it down, very expensive for very ordinary food.Got the impression no one cares.

A brilliant Sunday lunch for Mother's Day. Looked after us and our 2 year old brilliantly - we really enjoyed it and can't wait to come

Lovely setting, however poor selection of undercooked vegetables. Cauliflower cheese was full of hard undercooked stalks- difficulty in actually cutting!Gravy had an unpleasant aftertaste.Meat portion allowance... VERY economical! Not to our liking or taste.

We drove 45 minutes to this place because their website states that they do a cooked breakfast from 10. (Just google ‘waterfront breakfast’ ) . When we got there we were told by the miserable woman behind the bar that they only did cakes. What a bunch of jokers. Keep your website up to date so potential customers aren’t messed around.

Popped in on off chance for a plate of veg on Sunday. Was ok but veg was either well overdone or hard on un-edible / not very appetising. May have been the fact it was a Sunday carvery type set up but certainly wouldn't rave about it.

I’m not a fan of busy pubs, but this one was busy and I actually didn’t mind, the atmosphere, despite being busy, was calm and collected, the ambience was perfect and there was a lovely clientele of people, no rowdy behaviour - a perfect setting for such a place as well, right by the canal basin. The food was amazing, the service was spot on, the place itself was quaint and lovey and clean. I will definitely be coming here again, all four of us left satisfied and happy, wishing to return sooner rather than later. The photos are of the puddings my son and I had (Belgian chocolate truffle torte with honeycomb ice cream and then the other, a mint and white chocolate cheesecake with choc chips), I totally forgot to do the main course, but loved my burger and my son loved his pork belly. I would say I totally hated the food just so I could guarantee that it was on the menu for me next time, but that would be unfair and do the place no justice at all as it was spot on with everything. Thank you everyone, perfect afternoon.

Food was fantastic, catered well for a coeliac and just a generally lovely place. Only issues were a cocktail was made differently to how it was advertised but that was rectified quickly, and the waitress was guessing what ice creams there were as opposed to actually checking. Still won't let that put me off going again though.Dietary restrictions: Catered for a coeliac very well.

We had a good late lunch - veggie carvery and A la carte. All service and food very good. A bonus to have the igloo tables available by the water - harbour.
