Was a recommendation from friends so after a lovely walk called in for late lunch, staff were so attentive and always smiling, our waitress was a young lady called Jessica who was really pleasant through our whole meal. The food was outstanding and superb value for money. The atmosphere in the pub was amazing. Highly recommended. We enjoyed ourselves so much we have already booked for New Year’s Day

Thanks so Much to everyone at the White Horse. Me and Wife Booked a Overnight stay. Also we enjoyed a Fantastic 3 course Meal in the Restaurant the Food was the Best we've ever Tasted all the Staff was very attentive. The Room was great and a Good size very Clean and everything you needed Lovely Shower. In the Morning we both had a Fabulous Breakfast what more Could you want on Stop Over so well Done everyone we shall Definitely be Returning soon Gary and Pauline who stopped in Room 2 on the 15th November.

Waited an hour from the time the table was reserved to getting the food. When it arrived the vegetables and mushrooms were cold along with the outside of my chicken. Food was sent back. When i told the time it would take to cook the meal again, I said not to bother. My party was offered no apology or complimentary drinks. It was clear the pub was too busy for the inadequate chief produce / reheat food or the staff to wait on tables. Very expensive for what is on offer - restaurant prices for poor pub food.

Very cosy & comfortable stay, the room was beautiful and very clean and pleasant. The pub was very cosy and staff were excellent. Dinner in the restaurant was fabulous 3 course meal was superb and service was great. Breakfast was also as good as dinner. Highly recommend this stay and we shall definitely return in the future.

We only discovered this pub recently but it definitely does the best roast dinners in the area!! The White Horse is a perfect place for a relaxed lunch in a cosy setting.

Had a meal here tonight with friends. Ok, so we waited quite a while for our meals but wow was it worth the wait. Delicious, hot, home cooked and very generous portions. Coffee was out of this world. Staff are happy, friendly and attentive. So what if we had a wait, no mass produced tasteless food here. The only reason I’ve dropped a star is because our first choice had sold out and the wait was a bit extreme. However, it wouldn’t stop me visiting again.Lovely clean, tasteful and comfortable. if I could have put 4.9 stars I would have.Food & drinks: Delicious, generous, home cooked

I love this place. Great, great food, cosy atmosphere and Dan, the lovely, friendly bar person. When we're late home and can't be bothered to cook, this is the place to come. Its cosy, clean and homely. Tonight I had the Risotto with mushroom, black garlic, truffle oil and garlic bread. Very tasty, well presented and filling. OH went for the burger. He was very happy and it almost beat him...almost! So happy this place is so close.

Stunning everything! Modern, spotlessly clean room with good lighting, furniture and a super comfy bed. Lots of fluffy towels in the bathroom, plenty of hot water, rain shower and the most delicious vegan and cruelty-free Odyssey complimentary toiletries - also cotton wool pads and Q-tips. (It’s the little things that make all the difference). The pub and restaurant were similarly spotless and very comfortable. There was nothing to dislike! The restaurant is very pretty and the food (vegan) was thoughtful and delicious. Not even a sniff of a pasta dish thank goodness!! Leaving the best until last - the staff; they were all super sweet human beings and appeared to enjoy their work. They evidently communicated with each other and genuinely made my stay an absolute pleasure. I felt looked-after and welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble and I was always greeted with a friendly smile. Now, I’m trying to find reasons for a return stay. Thank you so much.
