Just nipped in for a pint and a coffee after visiting the popular Melton Mowbray market.The pub was very busy but I didn't have to wait long to be served due to enough friendly efficient staff on duty.Lovely pub , good value food and drink, there is a pay and display car park directly opposite.

Had the big breakfast mine was hot on receiving, staff friendly, my partner had small breakfast said not very warm she did tell staff member after eating ? they did apologise, no complaints from me ?

Called in for a breakfast, fast service but all sites of this chain can’t seem to keep food hot. I know it’s not cooked to order but hot plates or lights over food are common nowadays.A part from that it’s a good pub, they all have a great choice of beers at good prices. The Cross is on a main road but the is a public car park across the street (can get busy at peak times)..

We had the full English breakfast, appalling!Bacon was cremated, as was fried egg,Hash browns were so drenched with burnt on unchanged cooking oil and beans were burnt. The whole breakfast was a waist of money !! I adressed the manager he didn't seem remotely bothered what so ever !!!!!
Service was great. Food not so good Steak 50%fat. My half chicken was two pieces 1okay. The other to hard to cut with a knife. As I'd eaten more than half of my meal I didn't make any fuss. We will not be eating here again ?
Cheap and cheerful, friendly pub with an excellent range of food and drink, and lovely glamorous loos for the ladies.Vegetarian options: A wide range of vegan and vegetarian options to suit every taste.
