Decent place for a pint after a long walk around Belvoir Woods, Eastwell and down from Tofts Hill. But recently, it was a dirty place with no atmosphere - such a shame.

We go on a Wednesday to fish and chip night. Great value. Do a lovely pie as well.

Mother’s Day carvery booked for 2.30, got seated just before 3. Worst carvery I’ve ever seen or eaten. The broccoli and peas/green beans were brown and burnt in the serving pan so didn’t bother with those. The mash looked really dry so also didn’t bother. The roast potatoes were soggy but also hard and the Yorkshire puddings were sunken and soggy, they had obviously been there for a few hours. At £16 a head and £13 each for a 2 and 5 year old I would expect something really good. We also had to change our drinks to start as they were so bad and the woman behind the bar was very rude so didn’t think it worth our breath complaining about the terrible food. Would not recommend and definitely won’t return. The carpark and little garden out back are also full of dog poo, which we found out when the 2 young kids went running back to the car. Also overcharged us by over £30 which we had to challenge a couple of times before they admitted their mistake.

Went for Sunday dinner but was a little disappointed, felt was run down smelt stale in the lounge, nothing to dry hands on in toilets. Also food wasn't great although I'd heard good things about their food.. Beef was great but unfortunately the rest was overcooked and dry, Yorkshire looked fab but were dry and tasted old as were the roast potatoes. Drove 50 minutes to get here for our dad's birthday as a surprise but unfortunately I will not be returning. Best bit was getting greeted by all the doggies.

I purchased a Groupon for a 2 course Sunday carvery lunch for 2. We had a friendly welcome and were shown quickly in to the restaurant, which was clean and light decorWe had garlic mushrooms which were nicely presented and tasted lovely. We were not rushed to finish and select our carvery which was nice. The beef was tender and there was a good selection of well cooked vegetables. The waiting staff very polite and asking was our meal OK.Good value for money and a lovely pub
