I ordered the lamb which was very fatty and cold. half of our food didn’t come to the table, the staff spoke about us whilst next to our table stating we were “annoying” as they had brought the wrong food to us.Staff ignored us multiple times as well as saying they were going to ask their manager but not coming back to the table.Overall shocking service and food, especially for the price.

Booked and visited for a lunch time meal and the food and service were excellent. I had sea bream and my wife had the chicken supreme and both meals were delicious. For dessert I had a mixture of ice creams and my wife enjoyed date and sticky toffee with salted caramel ice cream ( which was exceptional) We had a bottle of Vihno verde Quinta from Portugal which was only 10.5% and an excellent lunchtime drink which perfectly accompanied the food. Service was friendly and efficient and the whole experience was great. It could only have been improved if they had had the fire on because the changeable weather did make the place a little cool. We would be happy to visit again in the evening.

Lovely setting however pub is a bit rough around the edges these days and the outside could do with a spruce. Little things could be done to make it superb.Service great and food delicious but the 3 stars is for the balance of elements in the food, it needs to change dramatically.I had the cheese brulee with pear and walnuts. The brulee was a big part of the dish but it came with one 'slither' of bread/cracker to eat it with for £8. There were 3 micro walnuts and 2 micro pear halves but a forest of salad and no dressing. All of which incredibly delicious but it was disproportionately served and overpriced when delivered as such.No WiFi access either.Sadly, not sure we'd return.

Popped in for a pint of local ale as it is described as a coaching inn but found only 4 chairs and one table are for drinkers. Had to ask for a 2nd glass twice for wine and the beer was ignored by the lad serving as he went to seat some diners and forgot to top up the pint. Wine was good as was the ale.We could overhear the staff conversations and were not impressed with the way they spoke about customers who were a few minutes late.We did not eat but the bar had a strong smell of fish and a couple of plates were returned hardly touched due to excess batter. Again we could hear the staff discussion on this. The place was packed so folk seem to like it as a restaurant but it is not a pub for us.In a small bar don't talk about your customers.

Nice place with great helpful staff. On this occasion the steak and pork lion was overcooked. A shame as the rest of the meal was really nice.

Was an okay meal, friendly staff.

Very nice place, very well done and obviously well cared for by the owners. However, there's always something a little off, for example, no customer WiFi (there are 2 staff WiFi networks) and in a mobile signal black spot, meaning babysitters and children can not reach you. Still very nice.

Sat upside for a beer as we were walking our digs. Beers are OK but not a brand I know. Can't sa about food or atmosphere but serving staff friendly and helpful.

The food was very good. The chocolate praline hazelnut with raspberries was absolute sublime! Very tasty, each bite was amazing! The best dessert I have ever had!
