Group of 9 went for Wednesday pie night. They were very accommodating at the time of booking of all the dietary requirements. Service on the night was excellent and the pies were just fab! Brilliant value for money and we will definitely be coming again.

We went for the Wednesday Pie night, and had a great time, the staff were very attentive to our needs and helped out with everything we needed. Only issue is the card readers, they've got a good one and a dodgy one, and that made paying for our meal a slight chore.

Great food, small village pub .

Used to go all the time for 'pie night' but when they first changed owners, the visit was very disappointing so we didn't visit for a couple years. Decided to give it a go last week and it was as fabulous as it used to be, well done guys! Those pies are the best!!

We had an absolutely lovely stay here - a halfway stop on the way further north and we couldn’t have picked better. The pub and restaurant were friendly, warm and welcoming. Excellent selection of win and a delicious dinner. The Camembert bites in particular were amazing. Our room was everything and more with a super comfy bed. We left refreshed - would definitely stay again! The staff were super helpful and friendly as were the locals!

Great Christmas lunch, well priced, very attentive staff (despite being busy) and lovely atmosphere. Perfect for a gloomy December day!

Poor pub food in a nice setting. Friends booked to meet up and were embarrassed by the food. The lamb shank was inedible, meagre, and undercooked. Game pie was tasteless. When asked, "Was everything OK?" by service staff (can't really call him a waiter!). We explained the poor quality of the food, to be met with a banal comment, "Oh, I will tell the chef!" That was the last we saw of him or anyone else. We just paid and left. Wont go back!

As a long waited return we came back on saturday 18th! And once again beautiful, The dishes were so good, We had the same lad as last time we came and once again he was wonderful helping my wife out with beers, All the servers were amazing and did a wonderful job, Food came out in no time, drinks came to us in a flash, Once again i can say this place had left me speechless!

A very nice village pub/restaurant we stumbled across whilst on a diversion. Well priced 1 beer, 2 j2os, 1 coke, 2 packets of crisps and scampi fries...£15.Would definitely eat here if we pass again.

Wednesday night is pie night and they were fantastic. You have to prebook which means your pie is ready soon as you

Visited on friday 15th september, We visited as we had never heard of this before but it was recommended by a close friend, Walked in and seated straight away service was out of this world! People checking on us making sure we always have what we need and the food, Absolutely delicious, The staff were unbelievable there service made this place welcoming and comfortable, The lady who took our food order was very kind and polite and was happy to help with anything on the menu, The boy that was taking our drinks order and deserts order was so helpful with what came with what, The deserts were unbelievable, So flavourful like our main dishes, Would 100% be recommending to friends aswell as family.
