Ate a meal here on Mothers Day 2024. Was shown to a table and then waited 50 minutes before I had to politely say excuse me to a nearby waiter to ask when we would be served. He moaned at how busy it was. Not professional at all.My other half ordered the potted pork and chutney starter. It arrived with the waiter saying sorry no chutney? He was just left with the potted pork and a couple of slices of dry bread. I had to give him half of my butter from my own starter just to at least make it not as dry. We were offered no alternative or warned prior to it being served.Waited a long time for the main and by then we just wanted to leave. Main was ok, nothing special. I had the triple roast. The bar area to order drinks absolutely stank of vomit. We went to the bar to pay as soon as we finished our food to get out. Waited a very long time with no acknowledgement at all. Finally we were able to pay, they got the bill incorrect twice.Just absolutely appalling. Clueless staff, no preparation for busy occasions despite tables being booked in advance. Meals served without the key ingredients that make it worth having?? Not good enough. I'm certainly glad I didn't take my mother here.

Went for a drink this afternoon and thought £17 plus for a pint and a wine was excessive when ladies cubicle door is hanging by a thread and no toilet paper available chairs in the bar falling apart and tape holding the floor together !!!!!!!!Are they trying to update the place on their astronomical pricing if so good luckWe didn’t eat so cannot review the foodParking: Only had drinks

Great service and lovely atmosphere, just a bit busy so felt very crowded. We both got a beef Sunday roast for £20 each? Very disappointed...the Yorkshire pudding was flat and soggy, 2 pieces of beef, one of which was grissly...lacking in flavour and minimal veg....

A group of 5, went here for mothers day 2024. We were looking forward to the celebration. However we were very disappointed.I has crispy squid and as you can see there was very little squid to be had, others had the chicken skewers and reported that the chicken had a tough outer skin like it had been pre-cooked.For mains we had the Sunday roast, I was so looking forward to this as it was now 3pm.The only hot thing on the plate was the boiled potatoes. Everthything else was luke warm. The roast (yes 1) potatoes could have been used to know a building down. I has the triple meat and the pork was a 2 cm square. The chickens was nice enough though. Now for the killer, the cauliflower cheese was like water, cold and had no cheese at all. If you can't make it, don't serve it.A server asked how the food was, I said "very poor" but he just walked off.I spoke to Reece the manager before paying the bill and without question he removed 2 of the meals as if this was like a common accurance. Other tables were also waiting to complain about the service. For £32 for 2 courses, take £7 off for an average starter, £25 for what we got served was awful. Will not be revisiting.

For the second time, we waited nearly an hour for our food, fish and chips, and a sandwich. Food good ?

Menu is inclusive and offers good dishes at a fair price. Venue from a distance is lovely and inviting. Start looking a little closer and you will see cobwebs, dust, dried spills and other marks pertaining to a less than thorough cleaning regime. Staff are a mixed bag. They can be polite, but will actively avoid you by looking at the floor when moving through the restaurant and ignoring/forgetting requests. We waited 30 minutes for 2 drinks and a further 35 minutes for 2 main dishes. No apology was given for the wait, no thanks was given following payment and manners were lacking throughout our whole visit.Contacted the venue and the parent company twice following our visit to highlight these issues and have been ignored.Vegetarian options: Between me and my partner we have tried every vegetarian option on the menu and would say every dish is delicious and filling. We enjoyed each dish except a special spiced bean pie, which was an odd combination of flavours.Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans on a well designed an inclusive menu.Parking: The parking lot is unlit, with a few pot holes and at an angle. If uneasy or you require a walking aid, extra care should be taken.

Insanely overpriced for what it is. The food is an inch above Wetherspoons. Pizzas floppy, doughy, undercooked. Steaks over-done. Tables sticky, beer £6 a pint. Soft drinks not far off. Save your money and go to the Woodman's Stroke just down the road for a real pub.

Pre-arranged catered lunchtime party was very well received by all, with boxes provided to take away the last pieces of our buffet. Good range of beer, wine, spirits, and coffee at fair prices.
