We visited for lunch on 3.12.23. Credit where it is due, the pub and Christmas decorations looked great. Classic Christmas songs were being played. Overall the ambience was pleasant and relaxing. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. For our mains I had the pork belly roast, and my partner had the chicken burger. Both were delicious and we were very satisfied. No complaints about service, the menu or the way the food was cooked and served. So why the average rating? Purely due to the cost of drinks and some of the food. £7.85 for a glass of wine, fish pie at £18.75 and £3.40 for an expresso. This is a pub, a nice one but not exceptional. I would happily return here but can get much better value elsewhere for these prices. The pub was fairly empty on a Wednesday evening.........I wonder why?

20 of us went to the Blue bell inn for our twin daughters 18th Birthday meal and we couldn’t fault it. The food was amazing and the staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive. We had a really good night. We’ve ate at the Bluebell numerous times and have always had great food and great service.
