What a discovery! Staying over for a meeting in Birmingham tomorrow and came upon the Black Horse. Had the most incredibly burger, was banging. Atmosphere for a tuesday night was like winding back time with dominos going on, football chat, pool table and all the other hits that make pubs the centre of a community. Can we have more of these further south please!

Whilst staying in Walcote for an event in Luterworth, we just happened to call in for a drink and something to eat, and we were so glad that we did! A friendly local pub with a nice choice of honest pub food, reasonably priced, freshly cooked, and excellent service. If it wasn't for the event we were attending, we'd definitely have spent a very pleasant evening here.

I’ve driven past the Black Horse many times, but have never been in. My son has been in a number of times and so, we decided to celebrate his birthday there with family and friends. The large pool area was gifted to us and ample seating provided so we could all sit, have a natter, and enjoy the food that the pub laid on for us. It’s for such a lovely homely atmosphere and is well served by the local community - I can see why! The staff are lovely, bar prices are very reasonable and there is plenty of room as it’s quite a large pub. The facilities are very clean: sometimes a pub can be let down by the loos! Not here. Really pleasant and nicely decorated. We were made to feel very welcome and having not been before I will certainly be revisiting. Highly recommend.

Just decided to venture out for one else two!?really lovely atmosphere what a pub used to be & should be?we ate too and the food was spot on ?though I wished I’d picked up a couple of sausage rolls off the bar they looked fab too ?the young bar girl was very attentive nothing too much trouble? we throughly enjoyed our evening & will certainly be returning ?

Nice pub, but you know it's a local pub, beer nice and good price, food wise, no food till 6 o clock, 3 fried chips were soft Def not 3 fried, ive gamon lots of times but this is so salty but was it was okay maybe he different taste buds, fish was standard but again chips were rubbish, seems a lot of sausage rolls are sold and not to bad, menu is not what shows on the web pictures anyway okay for a few beers
