Beautiful food and really great service. My son had an autistic meltdown while we were in the restaurant and the lovely owner and staff couldn’t have been kinder. The chef made a special dish for my other son as he wanted a vegetarian pasta dish and there wasn’t one on the menu. We will definitely be back, can’t recommend highly enough ?

Excellent Sunday lunch, dog friendly in the pub which was fine. Desert were very good, try the Yorke cheesecake. Beer choice limited but fine.Noteworthy details: Pub full of character, attractive looking di ing room

Nice pub if you like eating and sharing your dinner with flies. Had chicken, bacon and leek in a cheese sauce. Chicken was dry, leeks very chewy and cheese sauce watery. Don’t think I will be going back.

Had a lovely Sunday roast and puddings. Portions were generous and service excellent. Lots of staff on hand. After we’d ordered the food came up quite quickly, all hot and fresh. Vegetable tray was a nice touch. Lots of variety. It was a very hot day but nonetheless everything was good. Have not visited this pub restaurant for more than 10 years and we were not disappointed. Will return next year when we visit Louth for sure.

Good food and ales, has a good camping site with EHU's at the rear of the pub.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch on our way home after staying in the area for the summer. We have previously visited as a family group of anywhere between 6 and 10 of us and have never been disappointed. Today was no different. There were only 2 of us today and we both opted for lasagne. One with chips and garlic bread, the other we asked for with chips, garlic bread and salad. The lovely lady behind the bar said that was no problem and we took a seat in the bar area. The food came quite quickly and we were not disappointed. A good size portion of lasagne and excellent REAL chips. The lasagne is great! It’s nice and firm and not at all like the microwave slop in a dish that seems to be a staple of other establishments in the vicinity. The salad could have been a little fresher but it was ok and presented very nicely. All in all we had a good lunch and we enjoyed yet another visit. The Wagon is a friendly, welcoming traditional countryside pub with attached restaurant area. It has a good selection of well cooked pub food at reasonable prices and a good pint too. We will continue to return when we are in the area as we are never disappointed.

Great stop over for lunch and fantastic music from their jukebox. Would recommend to anyone and would return if in the area again.

Stopped here after a days travelling. The food was shocking! Children’s meals were chicken goujons and fish goujons but only had 2 very small thin pieces each. It was mainly a pile of chips. Each meal was just under £7! I had a burger that was very bland in flavour… cheap meat. My mums Bolognese had very little flavour. She had to coat it in salt and pepper to make it edible! Drinks overpriced too. A warm, cheap brand fruit shoot was £2.20 and was not chilled. They said my children couldn’t have a glass of cold milk? A very small half glass of lime cordial and soda was 1.30 Meal came to just under £50. I’ve had many meals for that price and this was substandard unfortunately. Decor needs updating, very dated and fusty. Apologises for bad review but just disappointing in all ways. Food and atmosphere need updating.

Went to the Waggon and Horses at South Reston last night for my birthday meal. It was awful. I had Lasagne which was microwaved into the dish. The cheese on top was in one huge lump and the bottom was black and hard. I did manage to eat some of the middle. We did complain and was politely told she was very sorry but they had a new chef.!!! I’m not quite sure why she thought this explanation would make us feel better, but it certainly didn’t. We will not be returning, and we are local.

We camped here for two nights and it was excellent. Food in the pub is out of this world and the staff are so helpful

Had lunch here today, lovely food & good service. They even have lower calorie dishes on the menu. Will be trying out their campsite sometime soon!

Didn't have a room, just a beer and basket meal and very nice it was too. Great welcoming service. Lovely beer garden.

Last time we called in for lunch which was carvery style was just before Covid! We visited yesterday and were completely taken back! No carvery now but an absolutely amazing beef or Turkey choice of Sunday dinner! Beef melted in you mouth, roast, new & mashed potatoes, roast parsnips with four fresh vegetables and Yorkshire pudding & homemade gravy! We were absolutely stuffed & couldn’t even manage a desert! Highly recommend will definitely be returning on a monthly basis for a excellent Sunday lunch!

We have used this public house in the past and again they did not disappoint us. This year we had our 6 month old grandson with us and they ensured there was a high chair for him. In the past we have eaten in the bar area, which has a lovely rustic feel, but it did not have enough room for the six of us. However, the restaurant provided an open air feel, whilst being indoors. Food wise we cannot fault it. The fish and chips (which they mark as BIG and it is) went down well as did grandma's ham, egg and chips. Grandma's day was made with the homemade rice pudding AND JAM!! The turkey ham and leek pie was a bit disappointing but was more than made up for by the cheesecake. All the desserts are a very generous portion and very good value for money. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly and other customers very tolerant of babies. Only fault, and mums/dads may not see this as a minor one, was the lacking of a changing area for babies. However, mine host did provide an impromptu improved area. Will we return when next in the area, almost certainly.
