Farmer Brown's Ice Cream
Woodrow Farm, Huttoft, AlfordTaken there by friends for lunch. Gorgeous jacket spud with tuna mayo was ordered and came with a side salad and coleslaw. Wasn't expecting that! And the whole plate was delicious.
We followed this up with the ice cream made using the milk from their own dairy herd. Now. I love ice cream and Farmer Brown's was worth travelling half way across the country to get to! I had a scoop each of bubblegum and rum & raisin. Smooth, creamy and tasteful without being overpowering. The perfect end to a delightful meal.

The Jolly Friar
1 Church St, AlfordThis is the best fish and chip shop by far in my opinion. We have a campervan and whenever we visit Skegness etc, we go out of our way to get fish and chips from the jolly friar. Always the same excellent quality every visit.

Willoughby Arms
Church Ln, Willoughby, AlfordHad a lovely surf and turf here last night . Great pub , nicely decorated and friendly , helpful staff in a beautiful Lincolnshire countryside location . Overall fantastic atmosphere and would definitely recommend . Thanks for a very pleasant evening . John and Ching .

The White Hart, 7 South St, AlfordStumbled across this little gem last night, we were hustled into playing the quiz lol ? had a fantastic evening the landlady and her staff are wonderful it's an old fashioned type of pub with a great bunch of locals who made us most welcome we will definitely be going back it's a lovely place to be . X

The Vista at The Boatshed
Unnamed Road, AlfordHad a latte and a piece of coffee and walnut cake halfway through our bike ride. The latte was the nicest coffee I’ve had in a long time. The coffee and walnut cake was also yummy. Great view from the roof terrace. The land is flat so you can see for miles. Great place to stop for a bite and a break ?

3 High St, AlfordWe stayed a mon-fri in the area, and when we arrived, we were starving, so we went to the nearest Chinese for a takeaway. Thank goodness we found this one! The food was so good we returned on Thursday night for more!

New Golden Delight Takeaway
24 S Market Pl, AlfordWe came from out of the area to try this because we've really not found fresh good quality chinese food, and find the menus are often a little dull.
We chose NGD because it had tofu on the menu. We were not disappointed.
Staff were really friendly and helpful in accommodating vegan options and there is a wide menu already which was great.
The food was hot and fresh and all the dishes were large tubs.
We had salt and pepper tofu which was delicious and several other dishes all good. We might have liked a bit more spice and flavour in singapore noodles but we enjoyed everything. Sauces were not overly thickened, and not too salty.
This is without a doubt the best chinese we have had from quite a distance. We will look forward to returning.

The Red Lion Hotel
Main Road, Withern, AlfordThe Red Lion is a good pub to go to in a nice setting. The owners are very friendly and do there upmost to keep it looking nice. We need to support this pub. It has been shut for far too long with the Covid, highly recommended.

Waggon and Horses
Main Rd, LouthJust had a lovely meal at The Wagon and Horses. Spoiled for choice and the home cooked food was absolutely delicious. All of the staff were extremely friendly and catering, especially to my 11 month old daughter. Will most definitely be coming back again. Thank you very much!

Woody's Restaurant and Bar
Woodys Restaurant and BAr, Woodthorpe, AlfordCame here for a carvery, was absolutely delicious and the restaurant is surprisingly cosy and smart. Staff so friendly and accommodating. Great function room available too. Will definitely be returning!
